"They work under a part of the Xu business, to be correct.". Seojun explained again. "Those men work for Minghao's brother".

My breath got stuck in my throat suddendly. "Then why.... Minghao's brother? Why? I don't understand...". My voice sounded more confused than shocked now, as I passed a hand through my hair.

"He wants revenge, Y/N. Destroy every trace of his little brother".

Again, his tone made the sentence sound completely clear, there were no doubts in that statement. But now the one that had a lot of questions going through her mind was me, still alienated from the back story of their whole complicated relationship and of the family story. It seemed like I was missing something, of which also Minghao wasn't aware of.

"Seojun, then why...". I stopped myself trying to formulate a logical question before saying anything. His silence was letting me know that I could go on with whatever I quanted to ask.

"I know you don't feel like talking about personal things and you made a promise... moreover I feel I'm being nosy and a bother to you. But I really need to know the reasons and the events that led to this whole situation. I'm not doing this for myself...". I looked at his dark eyes that were already staring at me. "I'm doing this for him, for Minghao.". I said out loud as my heart grabbed the last bit of hope that this man could give us.

He continued to look at me, as if he was reminded of a distant memory, with that longing expression that was now hidden from me as he turned his face to look at his hands, his fingers intertwined. "You have the same stubborness as her. When she had a goal in mind, she wouldn't stop despite everyone telling her otherwise, she always tried her best until she reached it.". He gently placed his back on the sofa.

"She persevered nonstop on her aims, it seemed quite selfish coming from her gentle personality, but it was just because she wanted to best for her children. Ah, how many times I had to remind her not to stress too much on the little details.". He finally turned back at me.

There was a moment of silence where he only continued to analyze my face, his eyes scanning every detail as if he saw in front of him the person he was talking about. I stayed silent not knowing what to say and also not to interrupt his flow of memory.

"Meihui.". He worded out with a gentle smile. "You're the same as Minghao's mother. Always asking questions and being curious about everything, always ready to help people who need help.". I turned myself in his direction, not wanting to miss any single word that could have been important.

"I see I caught your attention now.". He chuckled, taking off his scarf and placing it beside him after he folded it.

I slightly nodded my head to answer him. "Ah, yes. She seemed like a beautiful woman in Minghao's memory...". I added at which Seojun agreeded immediately.

"She was, indeed. Meihui was a talented and fantastic person, also a wonderful mother for both her two kids. I wouldn't be surprised if someone called her an angel.". His face continued to soften the more he talked about her. I bet he truly cared about her.

I looked at him with a hint of surprise when something struck me : he didn't call her 'Madame' and didn't bother to add 'Miss' before her name this time, he called her by her first name, without even including her surname. It seemed like he didn't even realize this, strange coming from a diligent person like him. "Seojun, were you close with Miss Meihui? I noticed you didn't call her by any formal name...". I questioned.

He quickly realized his tiny mistake, widening his eyes in shock. "Oh.". Was the only sound that escaped his lips before he laughed under the hand that covered his mouth. "I guess now I can't just go back to call her 'Madame' in this conversation.". He sighed defeated.
