Book hangover we all know the cure for a book hangover is writing. (I tried to add this earlier.)
I love you. But I also love food. I need both of them.
Frank, Hazel, Percy, Annabeth and Reyna stood, smiling, amidst the crowd. Hazel ran up to us and suffocated us with a hug. Did all girls do this?
Reyna looked unsure of what to do. She wasn't a person to hug, but a handshake seemed too... Informal.
"Why aren't you at Camp Jupiter?" I said eventually.
"We wanted to surprise camp. We haven't gone there yet, but I guess we can't escape you."
"Welcome to New York."
"We also did have to return something of yours." Reyna said, suddenly stiff. The group of demigods we'd exchanged that month walked in.
And then I saw her. You. You're in trouble. You shouldn't have come back.
"Hi Rachat." I smiled. I didn't feel anger. Maybe I was too tired. I can't bring myself to feel angry. Then I did something that surprised even me, though I still think it was needed.
I hugged her.
"Rebecca." She said, her voice small. "Its Rebecca now."
"Good."
"Will? I don't like you anymore."
Reyna coughed, anchoring me back to the fact we needed to get back to camp. She had her eyebrows raised at Rac- Rebecca. That would take some getting used to.
"Right." Nico clapped his hands together. "I can shadow travel you all-"
"No you can't. Doctor's orders."
"Shut up Will. Let's see, there are... Fifteen of you? I might have to make a few trips but-"
"No you're not. They drive. You'll kill yourself."
"Ass."
"Mmhm. How'd you get here anyways?"
*bursts through door* I took a bus.
"We took some pegasi." I noticed all the mortals going to pet Blackjack. Probably thought he was a dog.
"Brilliant."
"We'll ride back. Its not long. You two shadow-travel."
They rode off just as we finished packing up. Is Reyna riding with Rebecca? Probably to keep her in check, though I doubt its needed.
Now there were plenty of shadows, so we jumped without any issues. That is, I felt like puking afterwards, but that was normal. Not like I had anything to puke up other than water.
Schist am I hungry. I needed food. I also need sleep.
Nico was already nodding off onto a tree. "Wake up. Unless you want to get shredded." I whisper yelled. The pegasi came crashing down into the plain.
I helped a very drowsy Nico to his cabin before walking to mine. No one else was out. Everyone had settled in their cabins. Reyna had gone to the Ares cabin. At least, I thought she had.
I was walking past the Hermes cabin when I heard something. No. Someone. But who would be up at this hour?
"We can't tell anyone. The praetor and probabtio? I'd lose my position."
"But do you have to go? At least at Camp Jupiter I could see you, face to face. Now you're across the country."
Was that Frank and Hazel? Wait, Hazel was probatio? I thought she was centurion.
I walked around to the back of the cabin, unseen by them. Holy Hera.
Then I ran.
HUEH HUEH HUEH. I like this, actually.
