nightwalk

I have a better understanding of it, anyhow. Maybe of why people take nightwalks.

The actions of walking in the late hours of the night. An ambiance of nature, the new layer of darkness everything is under. Everything looks so, so different. So alone. So barren. More so, I was alone.

And my mind, for one moment, was clear.

Just a split moment, the chaos of my thoughts subsided. I breathed in new air, air from clarity.

Nightwalks take a different meaning for each person. For most, though, it seems that nightwalking gives a sense of freedom. Almost like a breakroom at an office space. You can step out of the messy, ludicrous cycle of living and for a moment feel... calm.

For me at least. Here the bugs are rampant at this time of year. No doubt I'll be sporting rows of mosquitoe bites on my face and arms. Bastards.

But it was worth it. Because for a moment, I was grounded. Not in my head, I was here.

I was here.

Well, besides that, I've been working on a new piece for my OC Madwreck. Here's a WIP.
