Surprisingly, he actually went home.

Michael- who was just as shocked as I was- drove him home.

But I went to the chiefs office

"Doctor Hood, how can I help you?" He instantly asked.

"I'm sure you're aware that Doctor Hemmings has been focusing on one patient in particular." I spoke to him slowly, getting an instant nod.

"I've actually been meaning to talk to you about it- a few people have brought that up." He spoke.

"Doctor Hemmings and I just had a small come to Jesus meeting in the hallway and I believe I can speak for the both of us when I say that it is better for the well being of Doctor Hemmings and the future well being of Alexis if we take Luke off of her case." I told him, getting an instant nod.

"Consider it done- I need my surgeon back in the OR." He spoke swiftly.

"I'll be willing to take her case if that's okay with you." I spoke.

"Absolutely, do what you have to do." He nodded.

"Thank you."

So I immediately went into the system and took Luke's name off of everything.

I felt horrible.

I knew that she depended on him, but she would never choose to create a relationship with her uncle if Luke was still constantly in the picture.

Her uncle expressed to us that he needed her- and he was crying tears of happiness the second that we told him that she was alive.

It would take her a while to warm up to him, but she will understand why we did this.

Luke will be able to be a surgeon again- he will finish his research that he had been working on for months that he paused for her.

Everyone would go back to their normal lives, and Alexis will go to her family.

Which is what she's been wanting for the past eleven years.

Everything would be okay.

Alexis.
5:30 am

I heard a loud noise, making me instantly sit up.

Pitch black room.

The room was never pitch black- Luke always kept a lamp on for me.

"Luke?" I spoke, hearing the loud banging noise yet again.

"Luke."  I panicked- not knowing why he wasn't responding.

I felt my way to the bedside table, where he normally plugs his phone in.

There was nothing there.

So I stumbled around the room- finding my way to the light switch.

The room was empty.

All of Luke's things were gone.

What the fuck was going on?

I quickly shut the rooms door- wanting no one to be able to come in.

I grabbed a chair- struggling- but yet finally able to pull it.

I got it in front of the door to block anyone from coming in.

I exhaled- almost out of breath from the work, knowing that was most likely not good.

I scratched my arm lightly, wondering where Luke could've went.

He never leaves me.

Maybe he had to go to surgery.

But why would he bring everything?

I went to the tight corner between the couch and the wall, sinking into it.

Everything okay.

Luke will be here in minutes and everything will have a logical explanation.

I sat in this corner for an hour

And then I heard someone open the door- the sound of it colliding with the door making me alert.

I didn't move.

I heard the chair continue to be pushed, making me know- they were able to push it.

It had to be Luke

But I was shocked to see Calum.

Him and I instantly made eye contact.

"You okay?" He slowly asked me.

I didn't respond.

Why was he in here?

Where the fuck was Luke?

I watched as he slowly stepped closer, moving to a criss cross position on the floor in front of me.

"I know you have questions, I'm not sure how long you've been up, but I can tell by how you blocked the door and how you're in the corner that you're scared, so talk to me, ask me any questions you want." He spoke slowly.

"Where is Luke?"
