So I went into her room.

"Please- just a few bites" I heard Ashton begging her.

"Why doesn't Luke want to come see me?" Her voice asked slowly.

"Let's try and get our minds off of Luke-" "I'm here" her attention flew to me and her face instantly softened.

"Why did you leave me? You just promised me that you wouldn't leave me and then I wake up and you're gone-" she spoke in one breath, clearly upset.

"There's a lot going on and there's a lot we have to discuss, but it's time that we involve you and get your opinion on it all." I told her slowly.

"But- you're not leaving me again, right?" She spoke to me.

"Not unless you want me to." I nodded

"Then you're not leaving." She spoke sternly.

"Okay, but I can't spend the night-" "you just said you wouldn't leave me!" She almost cried, tears were visible and I knew I had to stop that.

"Lots of people are concerned that we are too close, they're afraid that I can't make medical decision for you because we are close- like family." I explained to her slowly.

"So, I can come visit you throughout the day, but I can't spend the night until you're out of here, but we have to talk, we have to make a plan and get you healthy." I told her, seeing her take my hand, holding it gently.

"Okay" she almost whispered, glancing to Ashton

"Ashton is your new doctor, he's also one of my very close friends and when I can't, he's going to take great care of you- you can trust him just like you trusted me." I told her.

"But he's not you" he almost whispered, not wanting to talk about him while he was in the room.

"I'll go, try and eat." Ashton spoke slowly, smiling to both of us as he left the room.

I ended up sitting in bed with her, handing her bites of a sandwich as she leaned on me.

"And no sleeping on the floor, you're going to get hurt again. The door stays shut at night and no one will come in unless one of your monitors come on." I told her.

"I'm sleeping on the floor." She spoke sternly, being dead set on it.

"Why do you want to sleep on the floor?" I asked her.

"If we slept in front of the door at the house, the guys wouldn't force the door open, it would hit us and they'd either yell at us to get up or walk away and try another room." She told me slowly, making me hold her gently.

"No one is coming in this room." I told her.

I continued to talk to her about our plans.

About me starting surgery again, her uncle coming tomorrow, seeing how she likes the uncle and much more.

"But I can stay here, right?" She asked once I brought up her uncle.

"You're staying here until you're strong enough to-" "so what happens when I'm strong enough?" She asked me.

The question I dreaded.

"I don't know" I lied to her

But I knew

She was going to love her uncle eventually, she'd want to go with him.

And she was going to leave me, but I wasn't mad about it

She deserves a good life

I just hope he's going to give it to her.
