"Class of 2007! We made it!"

The loud roar of screams and chants nearly deafened Soraya but she couldn't help but also be in good spirits. She had graduated, she was going to a good college and she was happy. The happiest she had been in a long time.

"Soraya, guess who just asked for my number?" She couldn't help but grin at the ridiculous look of excitement on her friend's face. "Guess!"

"I don't know, Savannah, you tell me."

Savannah was almost bouncing off the walls. "Dean Monroe! He is so hot and he wants me. Me, Soraya." As her friend continued to babble on, she tuned her out, instead focusing on the person she could see approaching them.

He had to be making a mistake or heading towards somebody else.

But he was looking dead at her. As if she was the only person he was aiming for. "Hey, Sav, sorry to cut you off but I'll be back real quick." Moving quickly, she walked away from her friend and tried to weave in and out of all the bodies in an attempt to avoid him.

She underestimated how fast he moved because all of a sudden she felt his hand around her arm, pulling her towards the front door and outside. She wasn't a stranger to causing a scene but Soraya was in too much of a good mood to do anything but follow him out of the house and effectively away from the party.

When he let go of her, they stood a few meters away from the house where nobody else could see or hear them. This was the first time she had been so close to him in a long time and she hated her reaction to the 18 year old.

Jordan Shaw.

It still amazed her just how attracted she remained to him despite his behaviour towards her. From his sandy brown hair that was golden in sunlight to the aquamarine eyes that were currently staring at her - there was nothing about Jordan that didn't scream 'sexy'.

It was no wonder that her childhood crush had bloomed into something more as she watched him grow into the gorgeous strong jawed being that he was now. Soraya had appreciated him even before he grew tall and gained muscles. Way before all the other girls at the high school began to notice him.

Even when they were best friends, she always thought he was the best looking guy in middle school.

It hurt her that they weren't as close as they used to be but it angered her at the same time because she knew that it wasn't her fault.

"We graduated."

Soraya narrowed her eyes at him after he spoke. After so long that was the first thing he said to her?

"Yep."

She watched him run a hand through his hair and slide the other in his pocket. "How do you- look, I'm pretty wasted right now but-." He let out a short laugh. "I saw you and I knew I had to talk to you tonight."

"So you dragged me out here?"

"Would you have come if I asked you to?" She opened her mouth to reply with a sarcastic comment but he cut her off. "I didn't bring you out here to argue, Soraya. I miss you."

That surprised her as well as irked her.

"Ha!" She shook her head at the words even though she had longed to hear him say it many years ago. Now, she didn't care for them. "You miss me? You're drunk, Jordan, just go back inside."
