Chapter Three

Hailey

"Taylor honey let's go we're going to be late!!" Hailey look at the clock in the living room again, it's already one hour late

And she sure they're going to be late to the movie if they don't go right now

Not long after that Taylor come running at her with his backpack on his back "I'm ready now mom, let's go"

"What makes you so long honey?" Hailey ask him while she repairing his shirt

"I was searching for Mr. Dino, I want to bring him along with me" He said bringing up his favorite dinosaur toy to her view

"Are you sure? What if you accidentally lost him?" Hailey ask once again, a few months ago there's chaos in her house because of it's missing

Mr. Dino is Taylor favorite toys he once crying all night because he lost him, fortunately, Hailey found Mr. Dino in Taylor pile of his clothes, how it got there she had no idea

"Yes mommy I'm going to keep an eye on him all day" Taylor grin he gave her puppy eye

"Fine, but no crying if he got lost ok? Pinky swear?" She makes sure she gives him her pinky Taylor nod and raised his own "I promise" he answers as they make a pinky promise

"Ok let's go champ we really gonna be late if we don't go now" Hailey grip Taylor's hand gently

When she opens her front door she gasped as she looks at the person in front of her

"Found you!!" Someone said the moment she opened the door

Hailey come face to face with a brown eyes male with a big smile looking straight at her

"Thomas?!! Where have you been?" Hailey can't help but hug him when she saw him, it probably unnatural for exes to be close friends again but she and Thomas pull that off

Thomas Matthew was her ex-boyfriend when she still in high school but when she found out that she pregnant with Taylor she breaking up with him, the pregnancy was only one of the reasons for their break-up but another reason is that she realized that she loves someone else all this time, she always loved that person all this time but time has been cruel to both of them

Thomas chuckle, his brown eyes look at her in amazement the same gaze he used to hold back then but now it's only in the friendly meaning "I only going for a month and you already missing me like this Hails?" He raised one of his eyebrows "How could you live without me?" He teases her

Hailey chuckle "How could I not missing you when you have gone for so long!"

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm here to see my boy over there" He points at Taylor who eyes widened at him

"Uncle Tom!!! I missed you! Do you bring me something?" Taylor run after him and hug one of his legs

Hailey shook her head at her son reaction

"I miss you too, bud" Thomas said while he holding Taylor up before he ruffles her son's hair

"Of course I've got you two something from my trip to Bali!!" He said holding two plastic bags in front of Hailey and Taylor, Taylor jumping in joy in his arms

"Yeay! New toys!" Taylor quickly run to his bedroom the moment Thomas give the present

Tom chuckles at him and Hailey giving him a grateful smile

"Thank you, Tom. It's really nice of you" Hailey said to him but then she narrows her eyes at him when she saw sorrow on his face

"I thought you never coming back from there because you keep extending your vacation and your two weeks vacation turn out to be three months of vacation" Hailey continue
