We all make mistakes
in this messy world
how could we not
have you forgot
the millions starving
child abuse
factory farming
I can't forget
I feel it every time I watch the news
alternative forms of course
on good old youtube
every time the new
shocking statistics are announced
water droughts and sex slaves
complete assholes paid, thousands
to save another from jail time
snipers being praised for their kill lists
such bravery, such heroics
and we glorify our culture
proud of our degeneracy
entertained by it all
completely blind to the fall to come
how could my actions not be riddled with mistakes
growing to "adulthood" in a culture
where we are energy vultures
to those we hold dearest
because we lack clear direction
and wisdom
of the higher meaning
behind life
cock rings and selfies
might just be the same things
might just be siblings
leave me now to reevaluate these things
