It was finally Tuesday the day that Paloma has been waiting for patiently since today would be her date with Joel.
She couldn't explain it but something about that boy made her heart go oops 😍
Paloma waited nervously by the door Joel said he would be there by 6:30 pm but it was now 8:08. Paloma started to worry that Joel wouldn't show up.
After waiting a while longer she finally heard a honk outside her door she picked up her wallet and headed for the door. She didn't bother to say goodbye to her parents they wouldn't care anyways.
She made her way to Joels car he looked handsome as always. She opened the passengers door and got in the smell of cologne hitting her hard.
"Hey I thought you weren't gunna show" said Paloma
"I was busy" Joel said as he lit a cigarette,it took a while for Paloma to get used to the scent but she managed.
After driving for a few minutes they finally got to the diner they would be eating at.
They waited for a while until a waitress came and seated them. As soon as they sat down Joel got on his phone.
"Sooo" Paloma said trying to start a conversation
"So what" asked Joel looking at her for the first time.
"Nothing forget about it"
They remained silent all that could be heard was the tapping of Joel typing on his phone phone and the talking of other customers at the diner.
Paloma started to feel bored of the silence that is until Joel finally started talking to her
"Hey mami you know that big test that's coming up on Thursday?"
"Oh uh yeah in math"
"Yup that's the one"
"What about it?"
"I'm not very good at math so I need to ask you a favor"
"Of course what is it"
"Well since I don't want to put you in danger of getting expelled I wanted to see if you could get your little friend Ezra to steal the answers from Mrs Muñoz"
Paloma thought for a moment she didn't know an Ezra
"Ezra? Oh you mean Erick! I-I don't know Joel" said Paloma scratching the back of her neck
"Cmon mami do it for me"
"But what if Erick doesn't want to?"
"Oh cmon Erick would do anything for you anybody could tell from miles away that he likes you. You have him wrapped around your finger let's use that to our advantage" the boy said smirking
He did have a point Erick would do anything that Paloma asked
"Ok I'll make sure he does it"
"That's why I like you" said Joel as he brought both of their hands together
