Ok first off, yes I know that her character dies in the movie but whatever. I think this is one of SP's most underrated characters cause well she's just an amazing actor period. So this is if Jessica hadn't died. Also I have only seen the movie once so if things are not accurate I apologize. Please enjoy. ❤️

As people started randomly killing themselves you remember your dad who worked in the pentagon telling you something about this. It was weird they didn't really know what it was but if you saw it you committed suicide. I was in the hospital where I was a surgeon when I saw this woman walking through the halls. I saw another woman bashing her head into a window and knew immediately that whatever this was was fucking horrible. Ignoring the fact that someone was committing suicide across from me I was immediately drawn to the attractiveness of this woman and knew immediately I had to do whatever was in my power to protect her. I ran up to her and she eyes me suspiciously, I said "I'm a brain surgeon I have a shelter and I need you to come with me" she looks at me confused and asks "what's happening" I swallows and said "I'm not exactly sure but my father, he works in the pentagon and has prepared a kind of a fall out shelter just in case this were to happen" she looks at me still confused and I say "I know that sounds crazy but please if you want to live you will come with me" I took off my white coat and reached my hand out, she grabbed it and we both felt a spark that we had to ignore cause we heard people screaming. She says "oh shit my sister she's getting an ultrasound" I thought about getting her sister but I said "no she'll make it there's people out there who will help her just like I'm helping you" she looks at me and says "what no I'm not leaving her" I stare into her eyes while holding her face and at "if you go with her you will die" she looks at me contemplating what to do and I say "and that is a fucking promise but if you come with me we will be set for years, decades even" she looks back to where I'm guessing her sister was and says "I'm sorry" she looks back at me and nods indicating to take her wherever we're going. I smile at the fact she trusted me and I said "cover your eyes ok that seems to be how they get to you" she puts on a sleeping mask she has in her purse and says "and what about you" I write down something and say "heres the address-" I swerve the car to avoid people and continue "if I don't make it this is the shelter" I chuckle and say "and more food for you" she playfully slap my arm and says "this isn't time for jokes" I swerve again and about 7 minutes later were there. It's in the middle of no where like the woods, very secluded from the chaos that's happening in town. She goes to climb in but I say "wait" she stops and I say "look aro-" I stop myself "shit never mind go go go" she hops into this bunker thing and we secure it. I fumble with my phone and find a light switch. I flick it on and look around to see a humongous fall out shelter and the most food I've seen in my life, it was basically the size of a grocery store. As I was looking around this woman caught my view and I ask "um what's your name" she asks still in awe by the shelter "what" I chuckle and say "I uhm I never got your name" she says still looking at stuff and walking around "Jessica" I smile and say "well that's a beautiful name" she doesn't respond and stops, she looks at me and I ask "what's wrong" she say "you saved me" I rub the back of my neck and say "oh no I-" I felt arms wrapped around me and I was being pulled into a very tight hug, I smile as I see the woman-Jessica's arm wrapped around my body tightly and I hug her back, she's warm and smells like vanilla and cinnamon. Her scent is intoxicating. I get lost in her smell and realize she's started to sob. I say "woah hey no it's ok" I pull her closer into me, gently grabbing a fistful of her beautiful brown hair. I gently pick her up and she wraps her legs around me. I sit us on the bed as Jessica cries into my neck and sits on my lap, I'm gently stroking her hair and whispering sweet things in her ear. After about 5 minutes she's stopped crying, I grab her face and say while wiping her face "I'm sorry we had to leave your sister" she asks "what's your name" I chuckle and say
"y/n" she rests in under her breath "y/n" she has a puzzled look on her face and gets off my lap. She looks at me in awe and she says "WAIT y/n like award winning brain surgeon y/n" I nod and say "uhm yeah" she chuckles to herself and says "oh my god I got bunkered with a brain surgeon" I ask "is that a problem" she says "no I just-god I'm fuckin lucky" I chuckle and sit back down on the bed. She sits next to me and I rest my hand on her lower back which she immediately melts into and scoots a little closer to me, I give her a half hug and say "we're gonna get through this Jess" she smiles and says "when do you think this'll be over" she rest her head on my shoulder and I say "I don't know hopefully in less than a year but it'll probably be more than that"

I walked into the library to find Jessica reading one of the many many books we had in this shelter. I smile to myself as I watch her read and I step on the cement but she somehow hears me.
