The Getaway

Thomas was lost. For the first time in his life he didn't know which way to turn; where would his life go from here? To him the possibilities were endless. This was his new life, it was just beginning, a fresh start in a new city where the haunting memories of his past could fade away- be replaced with new, happy ones. This was an opportunity he intended to make the most of.

London was where he had chosen to go and make his new start, his grandmother had left him quite a sum of money when she sadly passed due to an incurable disease, known as the Flare, that had broken out back in America- she was unfortunately one of the, 'isolated incidents' as they referred to them. This had provided him with the long desired ability to break away from his abusive father, make something of himself in the world. He'd already scouted the city online, searching for accommodation before he arrived. He had rented a small, one bedroom flat. It wasn't much but Thomas didn't need much, feeling content sitting with his thoughts for the moment.

This was it. It starts today. A new Thomas.
