Raina POV
Percy Jackson was back.
He was my best friend and then he suddenly disappeared for a year. No calls, no messages, nothing. So when he came back to school all the girls swooned and flirted.
I slapped him.
"Hey!" he said. "What was that for?"
I raised my eyebrows. "For the sake of not getting expelled for excessively harsh language, I'll tell you later."
I looked at his schedule and saw we had our first class, ELA, together.I dragged him over to Mr. Blofis's room and sat in the seat next to him. The class passed and as we worked, I saw Percy looking at a picture of a beautiful girl with blonde hair in princess curls and grey eyes. She was wearing an orange tee and looked about twelve. And she was glaring and grinning at the camera at the same time, and I didn't even know that was possible, but this girl pulled it off. I know the age is weird, just keep reading

I sprung from my chair and so my day went, until lunch. I got out my mac and cheese and chicken nuggets and scooched closer to Percy. "Who's the girl?" I asked as my other friends Daniel Morales and Lora Pociana sat on my other side.
"Huh?"
"The picture." I said. "That you had in ELA."
Percy's gaze turned dreamy, which was weird. "That's my girlfriend." he said.
"YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND?!" I screeched.
Don't get me wrong. I. Don't. Have. A. Crush. On. Percy. He's not my type. I happen to like Cara Sanders. Yes I know she's a girl, I'm a girl, whatever, blah, blah blah. I like who I like, and I like Cara, not Percy. Percy's just like a brother to me.
"Yeah." Percy said. "She's really pretty and has curly blonde hair and grey eyes that look like they're trying to figure out how to kill you. And we've been through so much. And she's really athletic and tall and strong and pretty and smart and pretty and really really really smart. And she took a pois-"
"Perce." I interrupted. "You're rambling."
"What I'd like to know is why she's twelve years old." Dan said.
Percy grinned like he was reliving old memories. "That's from my seventh grade, when she wanted me to remember her. Then she came to my school and smacked the school bully."
I laughed. I still had to make sure this girl was okay though. "What's her name?" Lora asked. "Do your parents approve of the realation ship? How long have you been together? How long have you kno-"
Dan poked Lora. "You're rambling now!" he said.
Dan POV
I poked Lora. "You're rambling now!" I said. Percy grinned and answered her questions. Apparently her name was Annabeth Chase and her mom hated the idea of the relationship, but his aunt had Percabeth posters all over her room. He had known Annabeth for six years and had been dating for one. They were practically inseparable.
I looked at Lora and Raina. Lora was looking happy for Percy and Raina was soaking in the information. She's very protective of Percy. If you haven't figured it out, I like her. The only problem is she's dating Cara.
But back to the conversation. Percy was about to say something about poison.
"Hey Perce?" I asked. "What was that about poison?"
Percy froze. "Ummmmm..."
"There was nothing about poisoned knives idiot." A voice said. A girl with spiky black hair and a silver tiara was standing there. She snapped her fingers and I forgot what I was just saying.
"What were we talking about?" I asked.
The girl grinned evilly "You were about to play truth or dare, remember?"
"No, Thals, no." Percy said. 'Thals' slid in the seat next to him, moving Raina over.
"I'm Thalia." she said. "Percy, truth or dare?"
Percy paled. "Truth." Weird. Percy always does dares. Thalia looked like she could get people pretty bad though.
"Did you kiss Rachel?" Percy sighed, clearly expecting something worse. I didn't know who Rachel was, but Percy and Thalia clearly both did.
"Once." he answered. "But technically she kissed me-"
"PERCY JACKSON!" another girl joined our table, and slapped him. Hard.
"OW!" he said. "My poor face! That's the second time today!"
Thalia stood up and hugged who I assumed was Annabeth. "Bye Annie! The Hunters need me." she yelled something to the cafeteria too. "AND GIRLS IF YOU THINK THAT BOYS ARE JERKS, GET A BROCHURE FROM THE OFFICE!"
"she's recruiting." Annabeth explained and slapped Percy again. "I will get a full explanation on this, and Rachel will be in sooo much trouble. I know we made up, but SHE KISSED YOU!!!!"
Everyone was looking at our table.
"Rachel will DIE later! And I'm not going to her funeral." Annabeth dragged Percy out of the cafeteria and the room erupted into noise.
