𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲 (𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬)

I walked into the house, slightly blushing and my heart raced. Did my teacher just wink at me? I shook my head and tried to rid of the dirty thoughts I envisioned in my mind.
"Mom, I'm home!" I yelled. No reply. She's probably at work, and so was dad. I sighed and made myself a quick lunch and went to my room.
    "You're lying!" Jordyn yelled in disbelief. I had called to tell her about Mr. Reeves' "first day gesture" as he put it.
"I swear! I thought I was gonna get murdered, it was kinda weird." I spoke with my mouth full of sandwich.
"Just be careful. I don't want you getting in trouble or anything." If she was insinuating that I was gonna do something with him, she was definitely wrong.
"Can you relax?" I was slightly offended. If anything, Jordyn would be the one to play around with a teacher out of the two of us. "I'll be fine. It was just a ride."
     I always hated that school starts so early. I walked to homeroom with one eye open. I'm pretty sure i looked like straight dog shit right now. Jordyn caught up with me and she probably felt the exact same. Her hair didn't even look brushed properly and I couldn't help but giggle as she gave me a stank eye.
    We got inside class and I tried as best as I could to not look at my teacher. It only made my little crush on him worse. I wouldn't be surprised if I failed this class.
    "Good morning students. Please open your books to page 24 for today's lesson." Mr. Reeves, or Keanu as he said to call him, said. He turned his back to the board but not before giving me a look, his eyes darkened and his lips slowly turned up. I was left flustered and couldn't ignore the faint throbbing in my lower region. My breath hitched and I focused my attention to the book on my desk, my cheeks were probably so red.
     School went by slowly, as always. I walked out of last period and Jordyn was waiting for me. She said she wanted to take me home today.
    Before i could even get the chance to say hi, she spoke. "Don't think i didn't see that look Mr. Reeves gave you today in homeroom." I couldn't help but laugh.
    "Oh my god, it was just a little face he gave me. He probably does that to a lot of students." I explained She gave me a side eye and mumble, "Mhm." Just as we were getting in the car, someone called my name. I turned around and saw Matthew, my friend from Chemistry. A warm smile fell on my face as he came up to me.
    "Hi Matthew! What's up? Do you need the notes or something?" I grabbed my bag about to pull out my chemistry binder.
    "No no, it's not about class right now." He looked around nervously, as i stared. "Well i was actually wondering if you wanted to, maybe go out for ice cream some time?" His cheeks were extremely red as he waited anxiously for the answer.
    Matthew was cute, really smart and had a great personality. I wouldn't mind getting to know him. "Yeah i would actually! Text me ok?" I smiled politely. He nodded and said bye happily.
    I turned around to get into the car and saw a very confused Jordyn. "Did you just say yes to a date with that kid from chemistry?" She asked in disbelief. I slowly nodded and laughed.
    "Why so shocked?" I asked her.
    "Well i mean you haven't gone out with anyone since Noah." She cringed at his name. Noah is my ex,  we dated for 2 years before that but i ended things because he started becoming abusive. I always prefer not to talk about that.
    "Yeah but i wanted to just put that behind me and move forward. It's good for me anyways, and Matthew is really cute too." I winked and she laughed as she pulled out of the parking lot. I caught of a glimpse of Mr. Reeves getting into his car right before we left. I don't know quite how i'm gonna get through the year with him as my teacher.
