"What's between you and Jackson, Lily?" my brother asked me. I slowly chewed my gum as I crossed my legs and my arms over my chest.

"We're nothing but a stranger, Kuya. He's just annoying. He pulled me inside the bathroom pa. What a pervert," suplada kong sagot.

Kuya Liam sighed. "He's not a pervert, Lily. I know him. Baka may ginawa ka lang para hatakin ka niya sa bathroom—" I quickly cut my brother off.

"Kuya! So are you saying na I like him that I did something to him which urged that Jackson to pull me inside the bathroom? What do you think of me? A malandi?!—" Kuya Liam shook his hands in front of me.

His friends already left our house just a few minutes ago. They partied here for four hours. And I STAYED INSIDE MY ROOM FOR FOUR FREAKING HOURS TOO! The hell.

"I—It's not like that, Lily. It's just that I'd already known Jackson for years and—" I groaned and stood up.

"Kuya. Next time, if you will still invite him here, I'll not talk to you—forever and ever," then I rolled my eyes and flipped my hair before finally walked upstairs to my room.

The next day, I decided to ease my boredom inside the mall.

I just came out of the NBS when I heard someone called me from behind.

"Lily?" I turned to see who was it and my eyes widened when I saw Waze, MY HIGHSCHOOL CRUSH! Oh my god. A smile automatically plastered on my face and lips parted.

"Oh my god.. Waze!" I ran towards him and hugged him. He was my friend before and he's super duper handsome.

My cheeks blushed when I felt his arms snaked around my waist too, hugging me.

I pressed my lips.

I nearly frown when he withdrew from our hug that fast! He held my arms and smiled at me. Oh my god. Maybe I still like—no, love him up to now? God!

I bit my lip.

"What do you do now? I haven't heard anything from you," I bit the insides of my cheek to hide what I'm feeling right now. His hands' on my arms and he's freaking smiling at me! I can feel my knees trembling.

My heart beats faster and loudly.

"I-I'm just at home. You can go there i-if you want! Anytime will do," then I smiled sweetly at him and tucked my hair behind my ear.

He removed his hands on my arms and placed it inside his pants' pocket.

"Really?" I nodded. "Sure. If I have my time, I'll visit in your house," tumango ako.

"Uhmm.. it's already lunch. I know somewhere we can eat! Catch up na rin, Waze," I told him. Waze scratched the back of his neck.

"Uh, actually, I'm with my girlfriend right now. I just saw you outside the bookstore so I called you. She was just waiting for me over there," then he pointed at the restaurant just a few steps from here. I'm smiling but I felt shallow on the inside. Taken na siya?

I awkwardly chuckled. "Really? Congrats then. So.. let's just meet some other time. I'm going!" I waved my hands to him and turned my back against him.

"Do you want to join us for lunch, Lily? I'll introduce you to my girlfriend," he said. Lumingon muli ako sa kanya at itinaas ang parehong mga kilay.

"H-Huh? Oh! Hindi na. Actually may kasabay din akong mag-lunch?" I bit my lip, hindi rin sigurado sa sinasabi at palusot lang.

Waze seems surprised with what I said. "Is that so? Sino? You have a boyfriend? Maybe both of you can join us!" napakurap-kurap ako sa sinabi niya. Shocks. Anong sasabihin ko? Wala naman talaga akong kasama! Boyfriend? Eh siya lang naman ang gusto kong maging boyfriend since then!

"U-Uh.." I startled when someone encircled it's arms around my shoulder. Nilingon ko ito at agad kumulo ang dugo ko ng may makitang pangit na nilalang.

"What are you doing here, Jacks?!" I whispered and shove him a bit with my elbow. But this scumbag just smiled at Waze and wiggled his brows.

"Hey, are you hitting on my girlfriend, bro?" nanlaki ang mga mata ko at pinandilatan siya.

"Oh! Hindi. I just saw her here kaya kinamusta ko si Lily. Besides, she's my friend. I already have a girlfriend," ang lalaki ay tiningnan pa si Waze mula ulo hanggang paa! Nakakainis!

"What do you think you're doing ba?! Back off, Jacks," I whispered again and then looked back at Waze who seems confused with what I am doing here.

I smiled fakely. "Let's go na, Jacks. We're having our lunch pa diba?" he looked at me and gave me a teasing smile.

"Aww.. oo nga pala. Pero hindi mo ba muna ako ipapakilala sa friend mo?" I simply glared at him.

"We're running out of time na kasi, Waze. Maybe next time? Bye!!" agad kong hinatak si Jackson paalis doon. Narinig ko pa ang mga tawag sa amin ni Waze pero binalewala ko na lang iyon.

"What do you think you're doing?!" I yelled at him but he just looked at me innocently. I ruffled my hair and stomped my feet.

"What's wrong with what I did? I help you na nga," he answered. I glared at him.

"Do you think that's helpful? Thank you ha?" I replied sarcastically.

He chuckled. "You're welcome. Ayaw mo no'n? May boyfriend ka na? Swerte ka na nga sa akin. Madami kayang naghahabol sa akin," my lips parted and my brow raised.

"Why would I be lucky for having a scumbag boyfriend? Kahit free ka pa or free taste, mamatay na lang ako kaysa magkaro'n ng katulad mo," I frankly told him. Napataas ang kilay niya at tumawa.

Jacks dramatically held his chest and acted like his hurt with what I said. "That's.. way too rude, Lily. I'm hurt. Very hurt," then he closed his eyes.

I scoffed. "Wala akong pake. And don't call me Lily. We're not even close," nag-mulat ang mga mata niya at ngumisi.

"Hindi tayo close? Bakit, open ba tayo?" he teased me. I rolled my eyes.

"Alam mo ang corny mo. Umuwi ka nalang, please. You already ruined my day."

"Hey, baby. Don't be mad at me," napangiwi ako at umatras. Eww. Did he just called me 'baby'?

"Stop calling me baby! Argh! I hate you. Really."

Umirap siya sa'kin. "Eh ano bang gusto mong itawag ko sa'yo? Sabi mo huwag Lily because we're not even close," Jacks mocked me. "Edi baby na lang," then he shrugged his shoulders.

"Why am I even talking to you? I'm just wasting my time on here," I turned my back against him and started walking away to find some restaurants where I can have my lunch right now.

"Huy, Lily! Hintay naman for me!" nairita na naman ako marinig lang ang boses niya.

"Kapag sumunod ka pa sa'kin, Jacks, I will really kill you to death," I threatened but I can't really do that 'no!

I sighed when he's already walking beside me and a teasing smile on his face is flashing.

"Papatayin mo ako? Paano ba 'yan? Abogado ang magulang ko. Murder 'yan, baby."

"I have access naman for the best of the best of the bests lawyers here in the Philippines," banat ko. Jacks laughed.

"Grabe naman 'yung Pilipinas, Lily—" I cut him off.

"I said don't call me Lily—" he cut me off too.

Sinundot-sundot niya ang tagiliran ko kaya bigla akong napalayo. I am ticklish! Damn this scumbag!

"Ikaw ha. Ayaw mo talagang tinatawag kitang Lily. Kasi gusto mo 'baby'," nakangiting sinapo niya ang bibig niya at kumindat sa akin. "Halika na nga, baby. Pakakainin na kita ng Cerelac," he said at inakbayan na naman ako.

"Argh! Kainis ka talaga!" pero bahagyang natawa rin dahil sa mga kalokohang pinagsasasabi niya.
