                                                                   Chapter 1: Familiar Eyes

"I can't believe someone had the guts to criminalize sonic!"

The mane 6 had arrived with Sonic's friends to the human world a while back,and have been slowly setting in. They had heard from the radio that sonic was arrested, and rainbow dash was the one who was complaining the most. It was evening, and they were all sitting Chris's room in his family's first class apartment suite. Chris was still at school, and the other members of the family were busy ether shopping, or working on inventions.

"It is absolutely preposterous!" Rarity agreed with rainbow dash. Rainbow was hovering in midair, rarity and Fluttershy were laying on the ground, Applejack was on Chris's bed, pinkie was in the corner, laying down tiredly in front of the glass wall, and twilight was standing in front of her friends, all engaging in conversation. "Sonic would never steal. Right?" Fluttershy asked, worried. Applejack tilted her head down at Fluttershy and rarity."he could never. It's not in his nature." The friends nodded in agreement.

Spike walked in with a fresh plate of his homemade triple-decker nut crazy vanilla creme cookies. The ponies each took a cookie, except for pinkie. She was looking up to the sky through the window, pondering their situation. Spike tapped pinkie on her shoulder. She snapped out of thoughts and turned her head. "Pinkie, I know you want one of my cookies." She looked the pile, and took a few. She yawned. "Thanks, spike." Spike turned back to the group of friends, and sat next to twilight, putting the plate beside him. Pinkie pie took a a bite.

She's had this werid feeling for a week now. Something was telling her pinkie sense Something important, but she didn't know what. It was big, but never made her shiver like before. 'what is up with my sense?' she looked whistfully at her reflection on the glass. She took another bite of her cookie, and laid her head down, listening to her friends chatter as she fell into a deep sleep.

"But Who would look almost the same as sonic and want to frame him?"

Pinkie Pie was standing in a white void. Alone. It was empty, vast, full of nothing. Pinkie was confused. "Who brought me here?" She looked around. Nothing. That is, until she heard a voice. "I need you to help." Suddenly, a little girl stood in the food in front of pinkie. Blue dress, eyes, and blonde hair. "My closest friend, a guardian angel, has lost his way. You, along with 2 others, were chosen to help." Pinkie did not know who this was, nor the person she was talking about. "You will bring his love back from a cloud of miscommunication." "Who are you talking about?" Pinkie asked her. Then, an image of a red and black hedgehog flashed through the room. Pinkie pie lightly gasped internally. "The others won't know their place. But you will. For Shadow." Pinkie inhaled. "Okay. I will do this." "Thank you." The little girl thanked pinkie pie, and started to disappear. "Don't let him go..."

Pinkie was awaken abruptly by rainbow dash. She jumped slightly. "Pinkie." Rainbow dash was quiet, making sure not to awake their other friends. "Sonic was spotted near here, so Chris and I are going to find him." Pinkie slowly sat up. "You want me to come along?" She whispered back. Rainbow nodded, and both raced out of the room to follow Chris, Mr. Tanaka, and Chuck.

It didn't take long to find Sonic. Their car screeched to a halt, with rainbow flying close by. Sonic was surprised, both at his friends' sudden appearance and of his new opponent. The other hedgehog kicked him to the ground. Sonic groaned slightly. it was apparent by his bruises that he had been in a rough fight. Rainbow dash gasped. "It's the fake!"

"What.." The hedgehog revealed the Chaos emerald he had in his hand. "He's got a Chaos emerald!" Chris shouted. Sonic stood up. "Where did you get that Chaos emerald you phony freak?" Sonic grumbled angrily. "hand it over!" He ran towards the other, and he vanished. Sonic was taken aback by his speed. The red and black hedgehog appeared behind him. "You can do better than that Sonic. If you don't light a fire under those feet you'll never get this emerald back." He was cocky in his demeanor. Pinkie pie finally got a good look at this imposter. She gasped. It was the one in her dream. The one who needed her. Sonic jump up in the air and tried to strike him once more. He vanished again as sonic landed. "he really is faster than me!" Sonic shouted in disbelief. "But that's not speed." Rainbow pointed out aloud. Chuck agreed with her. "He's disappearing!" Chris couldn't believe his eyes. Then, he heard pinkie.
