Ahsoka POV

I knew it was time, the force was telling me such. Honestly, I never thought it would end this way, I always thought I'd end up as a Master on the Council, or hell even die in battle during the Clone War.

I never thought I would be forced to leave the Order, leave all my friends, my master...

I never thought the soldiers I served alongside for 3 years, that became like a big family to me, would turn on me and so many others.

I never thought I would be one of the last Jedi survivors, that I would have to go into hiding, change my name, live a completely new life, just so I wouldn't be killed.

I never thought I would be one of the leaders of a rebellion, fighting for freedom from a corrupt government.

I never thought I would have to fight my old master, best friend, brother...

My life has been full of ups and downs, though at times it seemed like there were more downs, but it was my life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Okay well that'a lie, I would trade it all for one more day with Anakin, the 501st, and even Obi-Wan, but nonetheless, I helped countless people throughout my life post order-66, and made many friends I wouldn't have otherwise, so I guess it isn't all bad.

I just sat there in a meditative pose, waiting for it to come. I was content, I had lived a long life, I was 112 at this point. I had taught Rey and the new Jedi as much as I could, and helped organize them Jedi Order. I had helped to get rid of the remnants of the First Order, and help put the New Republic into power.

I closed my eyes and took one last breath as I felt myself fade away.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know what happened, or how long it took, but after what felt like an eternity, I opened my eyes. What I saw shocked me: I was standing at the foot of the Jedi Temple. Directly in front of me where the stairs i descended all those years ago. When I left everything behind, my friends, my family, my master.

I took a look down at myself and saw that I was wearing my maroon combat suit from the Clone War. Feeling my lekku, I could tell that I was, in fact, seventeen again. I then looked around, but there was nothing else besides the Temple and the stairs. Taking a deep breath I hesitantly began making my way up the stairs. I was walking for a while, it seems as though these stairs in the afterlife are a lot longer.

As I was nearing the top of the stairs, the sun was setting. I hadn't even realized that there was a sun to be honest. As I trudged up the last few stairs, I saw a figure standing in front of me, near the Temple pillars. All of a sudden I was smacked with a wave of deja vu. I pinched myself, it couldn't be.

As I walked closer, the figure become more and more clear, and my pace began to speed up more and more, until I was in a full on sprint. Tears of joy began to fall from my face. The figure opened his arms, and I dived into them.

"Hey Snips," he spoke softly stroking my left lekku.

I was so distraught I couldn't even formulate a response. I simply looked at him with the biggest smile I could manage and pulled him in ever closer, never wanting to let him go.

Finally I calmed down and was able to speak. "Skyguy... I-I can't believe you're here. I thought you were gone forever to the dark side. I didn't think you'd be allowed here."

"When do I ever follow the rules?" Anakin remarked with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes. "Seems as though your sense of humor remained in tact all these years."

"And you haven't changed one bit either," he replied with a smile. However, it was short lived. His smile faded and transformed into a frown. He looked away from me. "Ahsoka... I-I'm sorry for everything. For abandoning you, for falling to the dark side, for trying to kill you. I mean... I-I vowed to never let anyone hurt you, but I couldn't even protect you from myself. I failed you Ahsoka and I'm sorry."

Ahsoka also frowned upon hearing this. "Anakin, you didn't fail me, quite the contrary actually. When I was out there, alone, all I had was your training and the lessons you taught me, and because of that, I did survive. Not only that, but I was able to lead others," I told him quoting myself from when I had been taken and hunted by Trandoshans.

Anakin turned back to me with a surprised look. "Th-thank you Ahsoka. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you the last hundred years, but I promise you I will never leave you again."
