it had been 2 days since i recieved a letter back from azula, she wanted me back home after all this time, i smiled thinking about how fond she is of me, even after so many years, i'm still quite fond of her too.
currently i'm inside a magical swamp, i see visions of azula often here, it's why i decided to stay, well that and the nice swamp men, they've been trying to teach me waterbending, but it's quite hard since i was born a firebender. anyways, i've missed the finer things in life but i am grateful for this more peaceful, care-free lifestyle.
however, no matter how much i've enjoyed it here, i know i can't stay forever, 4 years on the run from my family is enough, especially now that azula wants me back home.

"it's just about time for me to leave boys." i announced to my swamp friends.
"leave? why'd ya ever wanna leave this place?" one of them said.
"the time has come, i've finally received the message i've been waiting for, i'll be long gone by this time tommorow." i said as i sighed.
"i'll miss you, my friends." i said finishing my speech.
due shed a single tear, as tho wiped it with his dirty thumb, i decided that would be my que to exit.

i didn't have much to pack other than my paintings, paint sets, and a fire nation hairpin azula had given to me after she made me pledge my allegiance to her. i shoved it into my bag and got into the canoe i had built myself, a few weeks prior, i was excited to see azula, but nervous to see certain other people, my father especially.
i shook the thought and tried to think about azula & zuko, even ty lee.
"i wonder how they've changed..."
i laid back in my canoe to look up at the sky, and prepare myself for the inevitable encounters i was going to face.
