Entwined with my very bone,
Laced with a sweet kiss over my painted skin,
Artfully placed for its glory to show;
Or to camouflage what is hidden underneath.You mask over my very essence
Like the ocean keeps her treasures,
To the birds that protect her young
But a time will come when they must grow.Will my secrets grow out of the cover;
That I so desperately used to conceal myself
Though a turtle hides in its shell
The problem still persists outside.I may not see it,
But I feel it.
I may run from it,
But it chases.
I may silence it,
But it hungers in noise.Hide my fate, within this taboo
For the ink that was placed on my skinHas written a new story for me.
