Dear God,
I call to you my father, as a baby cries for their parents
My body urges me to walk and dwell on this earth
While my Spirit listens to the longing after you
A war between two worlds
A Cain and an Abel dwell within meOh, I choose you
I always have!Yet my body drags me out by the arm
With a solid iron grip
And indulges me on what I know is wrong,
The burning sensation tingling down my throat
Each burn lights my spirit on fire
Burning and diminishing until ashes rule in its placeFor a Carnal Mind is death
Hence a Spiritual Mind is life
Save me, purify me, walk with me
If sin is a stain on a shirt
Then let me be spotless
If your blood is bleach
Then wash me cleanLet my words reach you
For I shout at the topmost mountain
Hear me oh my father
Amen.
