Paris. The City of Lights. Impeccable food. Romance.

Atleast, for most people...

But most people aren't so lucky. If only everyone could find love in the city of lights, But there Mumbo sat. Alone in a charming french café. Surrounded by happy couples. Sipping his tea and eating a croissant. The headphones on his head rung calm music into his ears. Lonely didn't begin to describe it. All he had was his thoughts at this point.

Mumbo walked down the lamp lit streets. The smell of bread filled the air. He took a deep breath. Why was he here? This city was basically made for couples. Of all the places to choose for a vacation, Paris? Mumbo's obsidian hair blew in the slight breeze. He buried his neck further into his red scarf. His nose was a light pink from the winter air. Just as he got to the street his hotel was on, it started to snow.

It's too pretty to go inside now. I'm an adult! It's only 8:00pm. Why am I going home?
Mumbo thought. He decided he should head to the lock bridge. A place where you lock a padlock on the bridge with yours and your lovers initials. It's supposed to secure your
love or something.

*Damn Mumbo! It's like you're trying to make yourself feel lonely wtf. This author intteruption is brought to you by Mumbo's Moustache*

Grian walked through the lit streets of Paris. He held a notebook and a pencil. It was the final peice to his Architecture study trip. He had flown around the world to study feats of architecture and Paris was his last stop. Grian adjusted his sweater and shivered a bit in the cold. He turned a corner and noticed a bridge lit up by beautiful glowing lights, The bridge was lined with padlocks. He just had to get a sketch of it for his notebook. As much as he loved architecture, his drawing skills consisted of messy scribbles, but Grian managed to understand the point he was trying to make in every picture. The railings of the bridge were ice cold, They felt smooth under Grians hand as he walked across it, admiring every lock he passed.

The list goes on. But the more he looked, the sadder he got. Traveling the globe alone was well...Lonely? He had nobody to talk to. Flights were especially bad as he had endured multiple awkward seat partners. An old man with drooling issues. A lady that wore too much perfume. And a dog. Don't ask. But he had helped a single mom calm down her crying baby girl. She was beyond adorable. And had no trouble falling asleep against his fuzzy red sweater. He had a weak spot for babies. They were just so cute! But back to the point. Grian was alone. Constantly. It was enough to drive someone crazy. But he had to deal with it. He walked toward a bench in the center of the bridge. Pulling the pencil out from behind his ear, accidentally tugging on his curly golden hair. Grian pressed the pencil against the smooth white paper. He felt the led shrink as he sketched. It was a rough drawing but it showed the shape of the bridge, the accents of the railings. The glowing lanters that were lined perfectly in a row. As Grian continued to sketch he heard clicking footsteps in the distance. The small man attempted to ignore them, seeing as it was probably a couple out on a date.

He was gorgeous. His golden hair was accented by the flickering flame powered lights of the lock bridge. It was as if time froze. His eyebrows were turned downward and he was frowning at the notebook on his lap. Mumbo's heart beat in his ears. He continued to walk toward the boy in the red sweater. A stupid grin showing up on his face. He hasn't seen him since highschool. Boy has Grian grown up. He still has the same fluffy hair. And he was still short, who knew after this many years he would still be wearing the iconic red sweater. Mumbo never stopped crushing on Grian. His feelings sort of, Locked themselves away in a special place in Mumbo's heart. But they stayed the same.

Grian looked down at the paper. His focus was entirely on the led of the pencil as it made scratchy noises over the notebook. He could feel his eyebrows getting sore from all the frowning he was doing. That's when it clicked. He could hear footsteps approaching him. There was only one person. Grian looked up from his notebook, making direct eye contact with the obsidian haired man. Grian noticed the specks of gold that glittered in the mans hazel eyes. Grian was speechless. He saw the stupid grin perched on the man's face. It was framed by a black moustache. He could recognize that smile anywhere. Mumbo?
