Well. I guess I'm one year older, or as my friends say, one year closer to death. Hopefully, death comes a lot later so I can finish this book! XD
Recap: "Oh, I'm here to see your alpha. I'm Taylor by the way." I said holding my hand out. Before either of us could respond, a male voice yelled "Jess, who's at the door?!" Wait Jess isn't that Justin's mate's name? A male voice asked. When he came to the door my jaw dropped. "Justin?" I said. "Taylor?"
Taylor's POV
Justin and I stared dumbfounded at each other for a couple of seconds with open mouths. What the hell. Why didn't he tell me he was apart of the Silver Moon Pack? I wondered.
As we stared at each other, I noticed that Jess frowned as she tried to figure out how we knew each other and what the relationship between us was. Taylor, you have to tell her your not interested in Justin, or else her wolf will grow angrier and angrier and go psycho on you. Catherine advised.
I turned to her and said "Hi, I'm Taylor. I've known Justin for a long time, but I don't like him. I mean I like him, but I don't like like him. I know your his mate and I would never think of getting in between two mates. We just know each other because we've been pen pals for almost 5 years." I explained frantically.
After knowing I wasn't interested in Justin, Jess relaxed and gave me a smile. " Well since you guys have never met in person, I'll let you two talk." she said still standing next to him. She turned her head towards Justin and gave him a look that said " We're going to have a friendly little chat after she leaves." After she gave him the look she smiled and nodded at him. Then he turned his attention back to me.
He smiled and gave me a huge bear hug. "I'm sorry about your situation." he whispered in my ear. Before I could respond, his body went rigid. What even? Maybe you touched him inappropriately. suggested Catherine. I would never do that to him. I just met him for God's sake. Sometimes I wonder what goes through your mind. Do you mean our minds?
I ignored her last comment and gave him a questioning look before ending the hug. He looks like he was in a deep conversation with himself. At one point he started looking around the as if he was looking for something. Then all of a sudden, he had the biggest smile on his face. I wonder what could have made him that happy. Maybe his two pals from the forest mind linked him and told him I kicked their asses. I could have butted in and listened to his conversation, but he's my friend and I wouldn't impede on my friend's conversations.
We all turned our heads to the sound of sneakers walking down the hall. When the sound of sneakers stopped, a boy stepped into the room.
When he entered the room, his presence filled the entire room and caused everyone to look at him. There's something powerful about him, but I can't put my finger on it. Catherine mumbled to me.
He was about 6'2 ish by my estimate. He was well built and nicely tanned. He walked in with no shirt on and orange basketball shorts that went down to knee length. He had no shirt on, so I could see his, sweet mother of god, 8 pack. He had a well-defined jawline and midnight black hair that I just wanted to run my hands through. Oh, but his best feature was his eyes. His eyes were a beautiful baby blue. I could have stared into those eyes for centuries. I was lost in thought until I caught him smirking. Oh, so he's a cocky one. A smirker, I see. said Catherine observing him. Shit, he caught us checking him out.
"Hello and who might you be princess?" he asked, oozing confidence.
"Don't call me princess. I barely know you." I said already getting mildly irritated by him. Well, he works fast. "So, what are you doing here ..." he said asking for my name. -- "Taylor" I answered. "Taylor" he repeated. His voice is so deep, can we keep him? asked Catherine. We shouldn't get attached Catherine, remember we're on a mission. Fine, but I get to window shop, preferably that hot piece of meat standing over there. She purred.
I ignored Catherine and her fangirling and answered him saying "I am here to talk to your alpha about certain plans that involve me marrying his son."
As soon as those words left my mouth, Justin and the stranger's heads whipped towards me. Justin's eyes flicked to Mr. stranger. What's with all the mind linking!? After about a minute he turned back looking at me still looking shocked at my reply.
"Why?" he carefully asked. "I want out." I simply stated. His eyes darkened and he growled. What's his problem?
"I'm sorry but my DAD is busy." Holy shit, that's who your dad's going to make us marry? said an astonished Catherine. Well, I'm on board with your dad now, when is the wedding? Catherine, if he's the Alpha's son he probably sleeps with every girl in his pack. He probably has girls lining up to be his mate, or even worse he already has a mate or girlfriend. What if we pull them apart because of dad's stupid deal? Your such a Debby Downer. Catherine said obviously annoyed at my attempts to get away from him.
"You're the alphas son?" I said, pushing those thoughts away. "The one I am being forced to marry?" I asked. I got the answer when he smirked and nodded his head.
Well, our plan wasn't very well planned out. Catherine said bluntly. No shit Sherlock! I replied. I looked back at my watch. Shit! It's 5:00 pm, we have to get back to the pack or we'll be late for dinner. Let's high tail it out of here then.
"Well, I'm gonna go." I said awkwardly. It was nice meeting you guys, but I don't want to be late for dinner. Text ya later Justin. I said as I slowly inched my way to the door. As soon as I stepped out of the house I started jogging down the path to my car not waiting for a response. When I was a quarter the way down, I heard Justin reply, "Bye Tay Tay!"
I turned around and looked at him waving goodbye with a goofy smile on his face and laughed. "I told you not to call me that Justin!" Once I was 3/4 the way to my car I heard him scream "Too late!"
I hopped into my car, hoping not to run into Gigantor and Shorty again. When I got into the car, I took a deep breath. I just met the guy I'm supposed to marry in a month. And he's sexy. Catherine added. What do I do now? I wondered.
