Matthew's POV

How long...

How long will I still be here, in this crappy cellar room?

How long will I have to force myself to eat these meals and just vomit it all out after?

How long til I ever be able to go to school and hear my Superior's serious tone again?

How long til I ever see the sun again, the outside world, the stars...

How long til I see simba again... is he alright? Has he even fed? Was he lonely?

"...How much longer.. til I finally get.. to see her again"

Will I ever see.. Yana again though? We're they even looking for me?...

It felt kind of odd calling her by that again after all those years

I felt a small smile crept up into my chapped lips before shaking my head and wincing slightly as my skull throb at the movement

I have nothing left but hope and faith right now...

I'll just wait here then... for us to meet me again..

With that as a motivation I pick up the plate of bacon, egs and toast and hesitantly nipped at the toast..little by little

The least I could do is stay alive right?

I took bigger bites on the bread before taking the glass of water to force it down my throat

Exhaling in exhaustion on that simple task I leant my head back to the cold wall behind me

"I'll be waiting then..."

Zaiarhys's POV

"Status report?" I breathed out frustratingly through the intercom meeting Darwin on the main hall up to the grand staircase "any signs of Ra—Matthew?"

I'm losing my cool

A few moments later a series of hesitant answers met my ears

Don't loose your cool

Control yourself and keep searching

Licking my left pointy tooth I willed to unclenched both my of hands that are resting on my sides before biting my thumb hard drawing blood as my mind started going haywire

As I expected, that sting was not that distracting enough

"What about the thing?"

Letting Darwin handle the questions about the other purpose of our search party, I walk down the stairs meeting gazes with my uncle

Squinting his eyes at me he shook his head in denial

" Owen Kelmer?" I asked once I reached him with my eyes studying the maids and glaring bodyguards's stiff posture as they do their work

"They claimed that he was out for business on promoting their wine to China" he have a knowing look on his eye that I did not miss and just nod my head once in response

Of course

"I'm by the winery where agent Myers said the things we're located" an unfamilliar female voice muttered lowly on my earpiece "its outside hidden by the stocks where it was heavily guarded and authorized persons we're only allowed inside"

Unconsciously my eyes snapped to a maid passing a lengthy distance from me on a corner holding a white wooden tray in her thin arms that held the food for what looked to be a leftover
