2 weeks later

"You see? I've been gaining weight 'cause of how much I've been snacking!"

I say, poking my now noticeable belly.

She pours her coffee into her cup but, stops and turns around to see what I'm talking about.

She looks at my stomach for a couple seconds before turning her attention back to her coffee.

"It's not that bad, you could use the weight gain, you were kinda a little too skinny."

"Gee thanks Coletta!"

She caps her coffee cup.

"I'm just being honest baby cuz."

She faces me again.

"Now, be a good girl and go get ready, Abel wants to take you as soon as possible which is 9, right now it's 8:20."

Be a good girl?

Okay Drake.

"Alright Coletta."

"Okay, bye Chiquita see you at 4:50."

"Bye."

She grabs her keys off the counter along with her coffee and heads out the door.

Ughhhhhh, why couldn't I just stop throwing up, now Coletta had to bug Abel to take me to the doctor at 9 am on a Monday morning.

Well, better get my outfit together.

I slouch going up the stairs, dreading my visit to the doctor.

The first thing I pick out is a black oversized hoodie I stole from Claudita's closet the other day, it's perfect to hide the belly I've gained.

I choose a white shirt to wear underneath it and medium blue jeans, then white vans.

I check my phone it's only 8:35, so I have quite a bit of extra time.

I decide to recline in the desk chair in my room and listen to my playlist.

I grab my pink headphones and hit shuffle on my Spotify playlist, the first song to play is Rihanna's "Stupid In Love"

"Hmm stupid in love
Oh, stupid in love, hmm"

I'm happy to say I don't relate to this song.

I'm not in love with anyone so, HA!

"I left the engine running

"So I made it, even though Katy
Told me that this would be nothing but a waste of time

These lyrics make me tear up a little.

Now, a couple tears fall fron eyes, okay, that stings a bit.

"And I just don't know why, oh
This is stupid, I'm not stupid
Don't talk to me like I'm stupid."

~Flashback~

"Mommy I just don't understand why you do this it's stupid and I don't like it."

She jerks her head in my direction and she looks beyond angry.

"SO YOU THINK MY WAY OF RAISING YOU IS STUPID?"
