PART 3: "New Member Of The Afterlife"

[AFTERLIFE]
[NOBODY'S P.O.V]

“Wow... Poor Taka, man..” Leon muttered. Sayaka looked pretty upset while Chihiro sat there, frowning. It was silent for around 5 minutes until Chihiro decided to speak up.
“Taka looks really sad..” He sighed before continuing. “I guess we have to watch the execution, too?..”

Sayaka nodded in agreement. She had a pained look on her face, not wanting to look anymore. Leon looked over to them both, sighing. “You don't have to look, you know. Cover your eyes, or turn away.” He said, crossing his arms, hiding the fact he was upset. But still, he was going to see his friend again, so that was a positive thing. Sayaka had turned around, covering her eyes while Chihiro was sat next to her, comforting her. Leon kept watching the screen, slightly hurt seeing everyones reactions as soon as the execution started.

[FIVE MINUTES LATER]

The execution had finally come to a stop, the music also stopping a little while after. Sayaka was practically sobbing with Chihiro at this point, while Leon was waiting near the door, knowing Mondo would walk in any moment. And, unsurprisingly, he was right. The monitor turned off as Mondo had slowly opened the door, seeing the others.

[MONDO'S P.O.V]

As I opened the door, the first thing I saw was Leons massive grin on his face, scaring the hell out of me. He looked surprisingly happy to see me.
“MONDO! BUDDY! What's up?!” He yelled out to me. I barely had any words to say at this point. “KUWATA?! HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU HERE?!-” I looked around, soon noticing the other two. “SAYAKA?! Chi...hiro?..” I sighed, and walked up to Chihiro, patting his back. “Look, I'm sorry, I didn't mea-” Is what I managed to get out my mouth before Chihiro cut me off with a hug. “It's okay. I forgive you!” Chihiro smiled at me. I didn't expect him to forgive me that quickly... I thought he'd hate me, I- I didn't realise that.. He'd forgive me.. “You did it because I triggered a bad memory for you, I understand. And I'm sorry, it was my fault.”

He was happy... Why? After I killed him, he's happy?! I don't understand people sometimes.. I thought of something that might make him feel better.. No, to make me feel better about myself. I couldn't stand the guilt so I offered to help him train here. I don't know if that was a good or bad suggestion, because all Chihiro did was just hug me tighter. So.. I took that as a yes.

[NOBODY'S P.O.V]

“W-Wait! What about Taka?.. Is he okay?!” Mondo blurted out. Sayaka got up, walked to Mondo and then looked to the floor.

“He's in a pretty bad state a-at the moment... In the execution, he looked awful.. Like he was depressed o-or something.. It was something in his eyes that made me want to cry. I honestly think he misses y-you. A lot. ..” She stuttered, feeling quite bad.
“DAMN IT!” Mondo yelled, tearing up again. “I HAVE 'TA GO BACK AND SEE MY BRO! I NEED 'IM!.. I want to hug him, jus' so I can give him comfort!” Leon patted Mondo's back.

“You can't go back. You're stuck here 'til he gets killed or kills someone.” Leon said quietly to him. Those words hurt Mondo pretty bad, as he suddenly lifted Leon by his chain necklace, purposely making him unable to breathe well. “I SAID, I NEED TO GO BACK TO SEE HIM, BASTARD!”

Leon was clawing at Mondo's wrist, trying to get him to let go. Chihiro hugged Mondo's leg to get him to stop and Sayaka was yelling at him for Mondo to stop. After around 3 minutes, Mondo dropped Leon to the floor and crossed his arms as Leon crawled back, panting.

“J-Jeez dude, stop being so protective over Taka!.. What is he, your boyfriend or somethin'?!” Leon snickered at his own joke. Mondo rolled his eyes. “You didn't say no..-” He added shortly after, quietly. That comment made Mondo kick him in the leg, pretty hard, “You peice of shit.” He said, looking away. Sayaka laughed slightly while Chihiro was hiding behind her, tearing up.

[FUJISAKI'S P.O.V]

“I-I'm hoping they wont a-always fight like this..” I stuttered, pulling on Sayaka's clothes. She also nodded slowly in agreement of me. I hate watching people fight, it makes me really upset.. Especially when it's between two of my friends. It makes me feel awful, like I want to cry..

Mondo seemed to have calmed down, but I'm worried for everyone who's alive.. Especially Taka, I'm hoping he won't be too bad without Mondo. Then again, him and Mondo were really close.. He'd probably be able to cope, right? Taka's strong, he'd be able to handle it. But I'm seriously doubting he'd be okay, seeing him in the execution... In the trial.. He looked traumatised. I just want my friends to be okay..

[LEON'S P.O.V]

Damn, sometimes I forget that Mondo is fuckin' strong, unlike some people I know. Or am I just weak? Eh, who knows, who cares. But now.. What do we do for the next days?.. I doubt anyone will kill in the same day as a trial happened, that's dumb.. Maybe me and the others could play a game or something.. Like.. “TRUTH OR DARE! HELL YEAH. THAT'D BE FUN!” I yelled.

The others looked at me like a madman. I sighed, shaking my head. “Let's play Truth or Dare! It'd get our minds off things, right?” Sayaka and Chihiro nodded, meanwhile Mondo looked away from me, groaning. I think he muttered something like 'Fine' or similar, but I don't know. He came to sit down in the circle anyway so I'm guessing he's joining in.

[NOBODY'S P.O.V]

As they all gathered in a circle, Junko (Mukuro — I'll call her Mukuro, just so it's easier. And because she *is* Mukuro. ) decided to come closer and looked at them. Leon motioned Mukuro to come join in, patting a spot next to him for Mukuro to sit down in. She nodded and sat down, most likely going to be ignored for at least most of the game. “I'll go first!” Leon yelled, happily.
