the right pieces

Painted sky,
Blinding lights,
Happy smiles,
Chestnut eyes.

Stormy nights,
Come on by,
And all that's right
Is you and I.

Singing birds
Passing by,
Stalling sighs
I read the lines.

Mischief glance,
Tainted dance,
Hold my hand,
Our secret land.

Promises uttered,
I remembered
The warm days
Turn cold mornings.

The tides swept
An unsuspecting shore,
You promises
Were no more.

Did I wait,
Or did I waste
Solving you
From your maze?

And so, it was
Wrongly read,
By a faint heart
Misled.

I've dreamed
Of the sun rays
On your hair,
Now haunts my days.

For if the right pieces
We're given wrongly
To someone unknowing
The treatment will be poorly.

Oh, how I wish
I could've known
I could've save myself
From this downfall.

The right pieces of me
Were made for someone else
Yet I gave them to you,
And look how it melts.
