A fresh breeze brushed around his ankles and when he looked down the ground felt like a thousand, no, a million feet away.

I'm scared, Louis.

You don't have to be scared.

The younger boy took a shaky breath and tried to put one foot in front of the other. The small branch swayed, even under the small boy's weight.

It's not high, Harry.
You're almost there.
You can do it, don't worry, Harry.

The older boy assured his friend but couldn't help but bite his lip nervously.

Maybe this wasnt such a good idea after all. What if something happened to his friend? It would be his fault.

I can't.
It's too high.

The younger boy cried out, clinging to the tree's tribe.

Should I get my mum?

The small boy nodded repeatedly, letting his tears of fear roll down his face while his friend ran to get help.

After Louis' mum had saved Harry from the tree and had scolded them both for deciding to such dangerous and stupid things, the two friends went inside and played with Lego, the incident long forgotten.
