Draco didn't eat for the next four days before Harry began speaking to him again.

"Eat. Acting childish won't help anything." Harry had told him and Draco refused. "No. Not until I know what to do." He would retort. Because of the fight they'd had, they were hardly speaking. It broke the both of them, and Harry was as confused as ever. Harry began sleeping in his own bed again, leading the nightmares back to him.

Draco simply couldn't sleep when he knew Harry was having a night terror. He grew thin and pale, and he began shutting his emotions out.

This continued long enough that by the time Draco and Harry both could function properly they were headed into seventh year. During this time Harry had become great friends with Ron and Hermione and Draco was forced to get the dark mark. Stupid Potter. He gets everything and I'm in hell.

The boys lived as polar opposites. Harry had the freedom to like who he liked, he could save the world, befriend the school, and Draco lived in darkness. He was forced into dating Pansy, whom he'd never liked. The school began to hate him after Ron took to spreading rumors about him. His father hated him for losing Potter's trust. And Voldemort was sitting right here, in his living room.

"Draco, I've heard you have a connection with Potter." A thin voice began and Draco stopped toying with the snake charm on his finger. "Yes, my lord." It wasn't a good connection, but all he needs is a connection. "Are you two close?" Voldemort asked and Draco almost laughed. Voldemort, the Dark Lord, was asking how his social status was. "We were. Lately we've gone on our own terms." He answered and Voldemort all but frowned.

"Draco, I had another plan in mind for you, but I think you're the only one here who could tie the knot. I need you to be close to Harry. No matter the cost." Voldemort instructed and Lucius looked appalled. "Pardon me, but I've heard Potter is a bit of a fruit." He warned and he nodded. "Whatever means he gets close to the youngest Malfoy." Lucius grimaced. "Yes, my lord."

That's ridiculous! No way he'll ever speak with me. He'll probably hex me if he even sees me. Draco nodded, feeling utterly ridiculous.

Draco slumped down in his seat and sighed. How was he ever going to pull this off? First up though, "Pansy. We need to break up. I finally have a good reason to and I'm aware you  don't  like me either." Pansy nodded and sighed. "Thank merlin. Not that you're a troll or anything, I just really don't like you!" She laughed and Draco smiled a bit.

"Can you do something for me?" He asked and she nodded. "I need to befriend Harry again. It's necessary I do." he began and Pansy nodded. "I'm all over it."
