Chapter 6

It was a sunny midday. The sun was high up in the sky, not a single cloud was to be seen! Gloria was standing in front of Wedgehurst station on her own. She had her hair tied up in a messy bun and was wearing her usual pink dress, green plaid socks and her sturdy brown boots. She was holding her hands behind her back politely, constantly hopping from one foot to the other cause of boredom. She was waiting for Cane to arrive. He called her, like Gloria asked him too. Gloria felt like she had to repay her debt to him, he saved her life after all! Cane was studying the dynamax phenomenon too, just like Sonia and Hop! She scheduled a meeting between the four of them, so he could learn even more about it! That's also the reason why she was waiting on her own. Leon had strictly forbidden her to go around alone, since she had someone stalking her now. Especially after the incident in the cave two days ago. Gloria nervously glanced around from time to time to see if Victor perhaps followed her. He'd go mad if he found out she was alone! She told him that Hop would wait with her, which was a lie obviously. The champion felt like she wanted some alone time with her new friend to properly talk and get to know him better!

"Ah, Gloria!" Cane's familiar voice shouted from the entrance of the station.

Gloria turned around to see the red haired boy walking towards her. He was wearing a black shirt with a brown leather jacket. The girl stuck up her hand in the air with a sweet smile.

"Cane!" she called him out.

Cane came to a halt in front of her. Gloria grabbed both of his hands eagerly.

"I'm glad to see you're doing okay! Come on now, let's not waste any time!" She said as she let go of one of his hands.

She pulled him along with her. The red haired boy let out a soft chuckle and tagged along, quickening up his pace a little so Gloria didn't have to pull him too hard. His eye drifted up to her legs. He couldn't help but notice that one of her knees was wrapped up in a bandage. The boy grabbed the end of her sleeve and gave it a soft tug to gain her attention. Gloria stopped walking and turned around. She tilted her head in confusion.

"Am I going too fast? Ah, did you want to go sightseeing first?" She lively said.

Cane held one fist to his mouth to surpress a loud snorting. "What? No!"

His usually nervous voice sounded more cheerful now.

"I was wondering if you should take it easier, since your knee is still bandaged you know..."

His cheeks started to rosen up a little in awkwardness again. Gloria shook her head and smiled brightly at him.

"It's doing much better honestly! Victor had me bedridden yesterday, I also have a Chansey who works miracles!"

Cane lowered his head and let out a relieved sigh. "I'm glad..."

They arrived at the Lab. While Gloria knocked on the door Cane gazed around. He took a step back to get a better look of it. Gloria turned her head at him.

"It's cool, isn't it!"

Cane nodded excitedly. "It is! The labs back in Kanto are more grayish and bland..."

The door got opened by the lab's assistant. She nervously greeted Gloria and her new friend, welcoming them both inside. Gloria still didn't like the assistant at all! Ever since she betrayed them when Sordward and Shielbert were trying to steal the rusted sword and shield from her and Hop. Sonia and Hop were a tad more forgiving than she was. They were welcomed by Sonia, who was sitting at the coffee table taking a sip out of her cup.

"Welcome champion!" She whole heartedly said.

"Thanks for making time today!" Gloria said as glanced around, scanning the lab for Hop.
