Chapter 22: Alone!

Velvet's POV:

It seemed liked Magilou's arte worked. My environment was very different from a few minutes ago. It was all white, I heard distant voices coming from everywhere.

Distant voice 1: I'm alone. I'm always alone...

Distant voice 2: ...Why... Why am I always losing things close to me?

Velvet: is that Koda?

Distant girl voice: you are so pathetic!

Distant boy voice: Even now, you can't protect someone close to you. You really are weak.

Velvet: oh Koda... is this what you have been struggling with?

The more I listened the more I could hear the negativity he endured. I have to find where he is. I slashed and cut through the images of people continuing to lie. This is not the Koda I know. Before I could continue, I was stopped by an illusion of a girl.

Illusion: And where do you think your going?

Velvet: Get out of my way! I have to save Koda!

Illusion: Save him? Haha oh why would you wanna save that little twerp!?

Velvet: Your just an illusion! You don't know anything about him.-

Illusion: And you do?

Velvet: *gasp*!

Illusion: you could say I was once with him back where he came from.

As soon as she said that she showed me his life  before we met. He looked different, happy.

Illusion: when I meet him, I made him happy. Much more then you could. I mean look at you, your a demon, barley dressed. How could he ever fall for someone like you?

Velvet: Grr you don't know anything about me or him! Your just another illusion playing tricks with his head.

Artorius voice: Velvet is a demon. You should forget about her.

Koda: Its because of YOU! You turned her into a Therion.

Artorius voice: She's a monster now. She dosen't belong anywhere, with anyone for that matter-

Koda: She is not a monster! She's a victim of your twisted ideals! No matter what people call her monster, demon, Therion. It won't change the fact I still know who Velvet Crowe truly is.

Illusion: What? How is this possible?

Koda: She is kind, caring, a good fighter, and makes the most delicious meals I've ever had. And she's also... someone I care about, more then anything.

Velvet: *gasp*

He...he really ment it. I was surprised but this memory was showing me. Even after that horrible night, he was there. When I was trapped in the prison, he was there. Even though I called myself a monster, he was there for me. I could feel something warm inside me, knowing I was never alone. He's been there for me. Not just as my support, but as someone who cares for me.

Velvet: ...Get out of my way!

Illusion: Gah!

Velvet: I'm going to wake up Koda from this nightmare.

Illusion: You'll have to get past me first you Bit- gah!!

Before she finished her sentence, I stabbed her with my sword.
