Welcome to Outer Banks, "paradise" on Earth. That's a lie. Outer Banks has two social classes, The Kooks, filthy rich jerky people who live on The Figure 8, and The Pogues, not that much money but they are really fun to be around, they live on The Cut. They don't get along, but I have to like the Kooks. My parents and brother, their Kooks. I'm technically a Kook but I like hanging out with the Pogues.

"Y/N, you need to be getting ready!" My mother yelled "We need to leave in less than 1 hour!"

She knew I was either texting my friends or watching TV.

"I'll be done before we leave!" I turned off my TV and got up and shut my door.

"You better!" My father yelled

I walked over to my closet and pulled out a baby blue dress, set it on my bed then went to the bathroom to get ready. I put on light makeup and did a cute half up half down bun. I put on my dress then my heels and walked downstairs.

"There's my princess." My father sarted tearing up

"Honey, stop crying." My mother said "You did this last year."

"Hey Loser." I said to my brother Jackson "You clean up nice."

"I would say the same thing about you." He said "But you still look bad." He smiled

"Ok, Jackson, Y/N, let's go." My father said

We walked out to the car and got in.

I got out of the car the opened the door for my mother.

"Y/N/N." My mother looked at me "I know you're excited to see Kiara." She continued "But can you spend at least 5 minutes with us?" My mother asked

"Yes." I rolled my eyes

"She wants to see Pope." Jackson smirked at me "Him and Heyward are working tonight."

"I haven't seen him in 2 days mom." I said

"Just 5 minutes, Y/N." My father said

"Fine." I spun around and began to walk.

*5 minutes later*

"Mom I'm gonna go find Kie and Pope." I told her

"Ok, be safe." My mother said

I walked over to where Kie said Pope would be

"Excuse me." I said in a old lady voice "Do you know where the bathrooms are?" I giggled causing them both to turn around

"Ok, I knew you would look good." Kie said "But like Damn girl!" She yelled then hugged me

"Have you looked in a mirror." I laughed

"Y/N/N, you look.... wow." Pope said

"See even Pope agrees." Kie joked

"I dont want to be around my parents or my brother and Rafe." I said "soooo....Do you need any help?"

"No, I think I got it." Mr. Heyward said "Go dance." He took Pope's apron.

"Save me a dance." JJ said wrapping his arms around my shoulders

"If Pope will let you." Kie joked

"Yeah, No, last year I didn't even get to talk her." Pope said

"Pope lets go dance." I grabbed his hand and led him to where everyone else was dancing at

We danced for a few minutes then he spoke up.

"Y/N." He said as we swayed to the song that was playing
