Hermione P.O.V

Our detentions with Umbridge finally ended. I'm supposed to be happy, but for some reason I feel like I've lost something. Oh I just thought of what it could be. Harry. With no wound from the detention, he has no excuse to take care of me, which is a shame because I loved cuddling with him by the fire, he's so comfy. Oh god... could I...

Harry P.O.V

Oh thank god the detentions ended, I'm gonna kill that toad for hurting Hermione, I swear if she even thinks about touching her, I'm gonna kill her, no one hurts my Hermione. Wait... my Hermione? Well... she is pretty nice... and she's so smart it amazes me to this day, not to mention she's beautiful, even more so because she doesn't know it. Oh brilliant, I'm in love with Hermione Granger.

She said to meet her at the Hogs Head, along with a few other people. I'm guessing this is about that secret class she was talking about, I wasn't really listening, I was too busy staring at her. Wow, this girl is gonna put me off veelas.

Of course he's twenty minutes late. Typical Harry, with his idiotic Potter smile and his messy black hair, and... green eyes... that you can get lost in forever... no, snap out of it, Hermione! He'll never love you back.

"Erm, Hermione?" Neville asked. "Not to be rude, but I think that private thoughts are better suited in private, and not out loud."
"Everyone heard that?" I asked, scared.
"No, you were quiet enough, it was just me" he smirks. I glare at him and he quickly replies "B-but I won't tell anyone, of course!" I laugh at the sudden change of mood. He then whispers in my ear
"I knew you liked him, you two are a great couple"

These words made me light up inside, a smile across my face as I was about to discuss the club with everyone who turned up, when the door burst open, letting in a gust of cold air, but I feel warm almost immediately after, because the person standing in the door was Harry Potter. The way he smiled at me, the way his hair blew in the wind... That just confirmed it. I'm definitely in love with him.

I'm so late, Mione's gonna kill me, I need to see her, it was getting cold so i cast a warming charm on myself and ran to the hogs head. Finally I'm here. I opened the door, and there she was. The way the wind blew her untameable hair in all directions, the way she bit her lip and glanced to the side... That just confirmed it. I'm in love with Hermione Granger. I look around the room and see maybe 20-30 people, which surprised me as she had said "a couple of people".

I turned to the crowd of students, ranging from first to seven years. I tried to gulp my nervousness as thirty bored, confused faces looked up at me. I didn't know how to start or what to say. I was about to call it quits when I felt a firm, reassuring hand enter my own. I looked up into Harry's emerald eyes and he gave me the courage to carry on.

"So as you all know, Umbridge isn't teaching us anything useful that we can use to defend ourselves for the oncoming war. We need a teacher. A proper teacher." I boldly spoke, feeling a lot less bold inside.
"And I'm not going to talk about Cedric, so if that's why you're here, you might as well clear off now." Harry looked around the room, daring anyone to leave. No one did.

I looked over at Cho and saw that she was staring at Harry, which really annoyed me because I know for a fact that she only loves him for the fame. The title of "The Chosen One's girlfriend". I heard her talking to her friends about it, and if Professor McGonagal wasn't there, I would have hexed her on the spot.

I snap back to reality to find everyone waiting for me to say something else.
"Right, w-well, I prepared an agreement. A pledge, basically, that you won't run off to U-Umbridge tattling on us." I stammered.
"And if you decide to try and sneak out, Hermione is very good at memory charms, or any charm for that matter." Harry warns, then smiles at me. I went from pink to red, then smiled back. He really is so sweet.

"But, Hermione, none of us have the skills to be a teacher, we're all just students" Lavender pointed out, staring at Ron.
I bit my lip and looked at Harry "Well... one of us does..." I whispered. His eyes widened in shock.
"What makes Potter so qualified to teach us anything?" Smith asked. I immediately wanted to strangle him.

"Hmmm... you're right, let's see... well I guess he just faced THE MOST POWERFUL DARK WIZARD IN THE WORLD FOUR TIMES AND LIVED TO TELL THE TALE!!" I yelled, failing to control my anger, until Harry caresses my thumb with his own, sending a wave of security through me. "We need all the help we can get if we're going to beat V-Voldemort" I stuttered. Everyone froze. Even Harry. He stared at me, a smirk slowly appearing on his face, still holding my hand. I wanted to jump into his arms and snog him senseless. But obviously, I didn't. I just gave a weak smile in return.

"Is it true that you can produce a patronus charm?" A dreamy voice floated from the crowd, though I knew it was Luna. Harry seemed to be too modest to answer so I answered for him
"Yes, I've seen it"
"And-and he killed the Basilisk! In the Chamber of Secrets!" Neville piped up
"Didn't he fight off a thousand dementors in third year?" Dean asked.
"And last year, he really did fight Voldemort in the flesh" I told them.

These people are amazing, but they have to understand that it was just luck. I can't have them thinking I did this by myself.
"Listen, I know it all sounds... amazing... when you put it like that... but the truth is... most of that stuff I've done... I couldn't have done without my friends, and a pretty good amount of luck." I admitted.

"He's just being modest"
"No, Hermione, I'm not. We both know that without you, I wouldn't have had the courage to go down to meet Quirrel-" I start listing the events on my fingers "- I never would have figured out what the Basilisk was and how to fight it, without you, I would have been eaten by a werewolf and had my soul sucked out, and without you, I most definitely would have died in the tournament." I ranted. "Hermione, you're brilliant, maybe you should be teaching this class, not me." I finished. She had tears in her eyes again, but this time I knew they were happy tears.

"Harry, not now, not in front of e-everyone" she stutters, before hugging me and crying into my shoulder. I put my arms around her and held her tight, with no intention of letting go anytime soon. I shushed her and kissed her temple, earning a chorus of "awwww"s, along with some disgusted grunts.

She pulled back and smiled at me, eyes full to the brim.
"I'm sorry for ruining your shirt" she looked ashamed.
I simply laughed. "Mione, you didn't ruin anything. "Now, everyone sign this paper. Thanks to the brightest witch you'll ever know, it's enchanted, so if you betray us, we will know exactly who you are."
"Harry, I swear, if you make me cry again, I'm going to hand you to Voldemort on a silver platter." Hermione said sternly, making everyone laugh.
"Ok, so where do we meet?" Neville asks, clearly very eager. I look at Hermione.

"Errrrr..."
