This was the year that I found whirlwinds in my teacup and big calamities in the smallest of things. This was the year our bare feet walked on broken shards of glass bottles, and these are some wars we are still fighting within our minds.
The world was made quiet, kept inside for months over months and only death roamed the streets all day and night. Isolation had my mind running wild- which was both wonderful and disastrous.
The poetries that you are about to read are a product of a teenage mind kept on leash but ever so often did it sneak out in the middle of the night to find adventures and fantasy- and I never had to get out of my house for that.
This is a war between my fantasy and reality.

This book started off as an escape for me, from everything that wasn't going right. And to even be writing this feels a kind of surreal I'm grateful to experience.
