Sitting back at the bed of a stormy sea,
You said that I wasn't welcome
if I didn't start to believe—
In the legends of the ghosts
and the demons of South Monterey,
And I remember I looked you in the eye,
Mumbled a hesitated "yes",
You seemed just satisfied with all that blood on your chest.

Just where were we going?

Your ships were unruly, it's like they were reaching for the dismal clouds,
Red enigmatic waters, and a journey not well thought out,
You laughed when the sails were wavered by the Northern wind,
Stumbling across the deck you grinned,
"this has always been my dream",
And I wouldn't have believed you if it wasn't for your scarring scream.

Your eyes are a psychotic shade of blue,
It's absurd that you have tangerine peels in your pocket to chew,
Looking my way as if you knew exactly what I was thinking,
No one has ever reached the shore from here, all ships end up sinking,
One last smile with your crooked teeth,
"This is why I believe in; ghosts and certain demons".

Just how longer will this take?

As shades of water turns to cigar's ash,
The ships come to a halt with a loud crash,
An eerie acoustic wind passes the sails and withers them down,
I can hear voices in this land where no one is found,
My bare feet feel the heat of fire as if it's still burning out,
Then you turn around, and I see it—
Your blue eyes are gray now,
Your wicked face is a skull, I believe,
A demonic town, a jailer fiend, I believe,
I'm stuck in the abyss of South Monterey.
