So its that time of the year.. again. When everyone set their new year resolutions that they don't actually stick to after a month or two...Then they wait for the other year to come around in order to pursue them. Do you really want to be that person?
...No. That's what I thought:) In this chapter I will be giving you guys some tips that I personally find helpful to actually follow through with my new year plans.
*Be realistic - In order to set and achieve a goal it has to be realistic. Unrealistic goals are unhealthy and very likely to cause burnout.
*Break down your goals into sections - One of the best goal setting strategies is to break down your goals down into smaller pieces. Section them down into monthly goals, those into weekly goals and weekly goals into daily tasks. This way you will be actively working on yourself on step at a time and you wont even really notice!
*Clearly write your goals down - Studies show that we are 42% more likely to achieve our goals by writing them down. Let that speak for itself..
*Write down clear steps that you will take in order to achieve these goals - Setting goals without a plan is like walking into an exam without studying.. Simply something you don't want to do. It is preferable if you have a specific plan to get closer toward your goals.
*Get a journal specifically for tracking your progress - Tracking your progress is important for the days that you may need to see how far you've gotten. It will make things a little less stressful for you because organization is essential!
