BOOM!
The sound of a gunshot echoed through the empty, abandoned town. Everyone looked at one another. Everyone had the same look in their eyes.
Fear, sadness, and desperation.
No one can dare think of the outcome of the loud shocking noise.
One member ran towards the direction of the 'boom'.
As tears trailed down from his eyes to the bottom of his scared cheek he kept chanting in his mind that there is still hope.
Hope that they haven't lost the battle. Hope, that what he sees once he reaches his destination won't be his lifeless body on the ground.
He still has hope that they can walk away together ........the eight of them......hand in hand . To a new beginning.
