Practice was always crazy at Aoba Johsai, fangirls swarmed all the entrances of the doors and looked through the windows to get a peek of their beloved Oikawa. Although, one fanboy would peek through the windows to get a view of his beloved Kyoutani.

"Iwa-chan, is that boy still here?" Oikawa tugged at the sleeve of his best friend's jersey, pointing in the direction of the gym doors where a short/tall shy boy stood, a club application in his hands. Iwaizumi felt a strong pull towards the shy male, feeling a protective aura surround him as he knew he must protect the unknown boy at all costs. "I think he's here to join the team, Shittykawa. You're the captain, shouldn't you know about this?" Iwaizumi snapped, a small irk mark on his forehead knowing that the flat captain did indeed not check with their coach about a new player.

"... Whoops?"

After Iwaizumi forced Oikawa over and made him talk to the boy, each member of the team figured out a few new things about him. (L/N) (Y/N), a first-year who just transferred as an exchange student from (C/N). He was the former manager at his middle school and soon-to-be manager of his new high school before suddenly being thrown into Japan in an exchange program he was unknowingly signed up for.

All of the third years immediately fell in love with the younger male, finding his shyness admirable and a perfect option for their manager. Not only was (Y/N) good with people, he was smart and dependable, putting plenty of effort into the simple things that were needed in a manager.

The entire team adjusted quickly to their new manager, giving (Y/N) happiness he could only wish for. But, obviously, (Y/N) still yearned for a little more. He wasn't planning on joining the volleyball club when he started high school in Japan, but when he laid eyes on a certain cold-hearted second year who rarely went to practice, (Y/N) knew he had to get to know him, no matter how long it took for him to finally gain the courage to talk.

Everyone but Kyoutani knew about the shy manager's crush, and they all made it their mission to get them together. Even though the third-years hated the wing spiker, but they loved their manager and wanted to make him smile no matter what. And unknown to (Y/N), the third-years had made a plan with the rest of the team to get the two together.

One afternoon later, the team was pumped, the coach and the manager didn't understand why but were glad to have the team in such high spirits before their tournament would start. At the end of the training, which went on two hours longer than normal, the plan was put into action.

Every Tuesday, (Y/N) would take the uniforms and clean them in the storage room and every Tuesday was Kyoutani's turn to clean the gym. Obviously, Oikawa used his charm to get the keys off the coach (but that failed since the coach just decided to ignore him, leaving Iwaizumi to get the keys instead), and they locked the two inside the gym with a note stuck to the door.

Hiya (Y/N)-kun, Mad Dog-chan~!

If you didn't realize before reading this letter, we've locked you inside the gym together! Our loving manager wants to talk to you, Mad Dog-chan and since you're so cold and mean we decided to lock you into a room together~~! Have funnnn (;

Kyoutani was beyond annoyed with this terrible display of a letter, ripping it into pieces and throwing it into a trash can to prove to the third-year setter how dumb he could be. (Y/N) didn't like him and he didn't like (Y/N), it was that simple.

When (Y/N) came to check up Kyoutani and everyone else, he realized the doors were locked and an angry second-year was sulking by himself in the slightly darkened gym, the lights automatically turning off after school closed, only allowing the dim lighting from street lights to light the gym.

"Kyou-chan...?" The shy manager said quietly, gaining the attention of the second-year.

"(L/N), do you like me?" Kyoutani questioned, speaking up loudly. (Y/N) was shocked at how quick Kyoutani was but didn't hesitate, nodding his head in response to the question.

"I... I do like you, Kyou-chan... I like you a lot." The manager whispered, twiddling with his thumbs nervously. Kyoutani was taken aback by this answer, he believed Oikawa was just joking around and didn't mean a word he said in the letter but now, everything had changed with just a few words.

"(L/N)..." Kyoutani started, (Y/N) looked up with hopeful eyes waiting for Kyoutani to say yes.

"I don't like you back."
