A/N: I was supposed to write a poem based on the above picture for the Apollo Poetry Contest. Now, I know this picture is aimed at spreading awareness about water conservation but I came up with a more personal interpretation of it. Here is the entry GoddessRealms #ApolloPoetryContest

I stand here unaided and unaccompanied,
On the hard, parched ground of my heart, holding up a humble chalice.
I'm trapped in this hourglass of fate, trapped inside the lower bulb,
In my eye lies envy I badly wish I could curb,
As I look up to the top bulb, to what I believe to be heaven,
Where swimming in the waters of happiness are Fortunate men and women.
With my soul clamoring for this water, I anxiously wait for it to seep down,
I wait for this water to pour upon my tiny town,
So my chalice would be filled, so I could finally partake of this joy abound,
But never did it occur to me that I can find this very water by digging deep into the ground.
