You say you wish for peace to come to you on a daily basis,
Why, I have heard peace knock at the doors of your mind,
Everyday at dusk, without fail.
If these knocks weren't heard by your stress-addled brain,
How is poor peace to blame?
You say you wish peace could be more flexible, more mobile,
Towards your requests of coming to you, it wasn't so hostile.
Well, I have seen peace leave the high mountain's silence,
And settle down in the valley,
At a loving, hard-working family's kind behest.
Maybe, make your soul do the beckoning?
You say you wish for peace to be found everywhere,
In search of it you didn't have to wander here and there.
Say, what stone has it left unturned,
In proving its omnipresence to the world,
Gracing vast green meadows and small, happy homes alike?
Perhaps, let your heart do the looking next time?
