I wake up to mom scrounging around for her keys again. She always seems to lose them.

"Jesus. Have you seen them?" She asks as she checks the couch.

"We're looking, Mom." Jonathan answers as he puts on his coat.

"Yeah, we're... we're looking." Will says as he looks in a big and I check the kitchen.

"A-ha! Found 'em!" Bob chuckles as he comes down the hallway. Jonathan and I look at each other in confusion. Bob has never stayed over before. "Hiding under done jeans, sneaky little buggers."

"Thank you. Thank you. You're a life saver." Mom says as he kisses his cheek. She turns to us. "Who's driving?" She asks. And I raid my hand. "Okay, can you take Will to school today? I cannot be late again."

"He's staying over now?" Jonathan asks Mom in a slight whisper.

"Can you guys just take Will, please?" She avoids these question.

"I can take him." Bob offers.

"Will you make sure he gets in okay?" Mom asks nervously.

"Yeah, of course." Bob replies before shifting his gaze to Will. "What do you say, big guy? Wanna go for a ride in the Bobmobile?" He chuckles.

Jonathan and I leave a bit after and I drive to school since it's my day.

"How was the party?" I ask him.

Jonathan shrugs. "Just a bunch of dumb drunk teenagers."

"Was Nancy there?"

"Yeah, she was one of the dumb drunk teenagers."

"Nancy Wheeler? Drunk?"

"Yeah, I think she might have said something to Steve that ticked him off. He left after he asked me to take her home, so I took her home."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

I slowly look at him with a smirk, shifting my eyes back to the road so we don't crash every now and then. Jonathan looks at me before realization dawns on his features before he cringes.

"Oh, God, Y/n. That- nothing happened. She was drunk and passed out once I helped her to her bed."

"'Helped'." I laugh as he playfully pushes me and shakes his head.

We get to school and go to our classes like usual. After school ends I wait at my truck for Jonathan for nearly an hour, but he doesn't show. I sigh and leave, thinking he was in the library and forgot to tell me.

I drive back home to find Mom pacing. I try to ask what's wrong, but she just dashes out the door and gets in her car. I get in as well to find out what she's so worried about. She doesn't tell me anything. We drive to Hawkins Middle School to pick up Will.

"Mom. Please, tell me what's going on!"

"It's Will. I-I think- I don't think it's over." She says vaguely.

"What?"

We make it to the school and Mom rushes in with me following after.

"Find Will!" Mom calls to me.

I start panicking again.

Find Will.

Find Will!
