Jesse mentions the Brooklyn bridge and Rio Grande in Partner in Crime. AKB, who plays Jesse, also plays crutchie. Obviously the Brooklyn bridge connects Manhattan and Brooklyn, therefore connecting it to Newsies, but in Santa Fe (Prologue), Jack and Crutchie mention swimming the Rio Grande. So there's a nice little connection for ya.
