Once outside, the guide thanks them for taking interest in the company and bids them farewell.
"Well guys, how about we get back out there and start looking for clues about that next stone thing?" Lucas suggested the moment they enter the lobby.
"We could try asking around the Battle Theatre." Mabel suggested. "After all, people gather there from all around. It would be good to gather info there. And besides, you three have to challenge the Theatre anyway, right?"
"Two, actually," Zinx corrected for the third time. Finally, Mabel, Lucy, and Lucas listened. "I challenged it long ago. And I got the badge." He scrolled through his watch and found the medal. "Here it is."
Everyone stared at it in awe. "It looks so cool!" Lucas gushed. "Let's go get you those medals then, and we'll be asking around for anything suspicious."
And then a woman with green hair and blue eyes wearing an odd earpiece, a yellow cloak, a T-shirt(?), beige trousers, and some sort of dark green bionic arm and bionic legs interrupted them, directing everyone's attention to her.
"Did I hear someone was challenging the Theatre?" She looked them over and then spotted Zinx. "Oh, hey, Zinx! How're you and Vambat?" She greeted, patting the bat Loomian's head.
"Oh, we're fine, thanks for asking," Zinx replied bluntly, voice level despite meeting the Battle Star again. "But yeah, you heard right. Two of my friends want to challenge you." He points to Nadia and Musa.
"You...you have friends." The woman, Faust, replied in disbelief. That irked the dark-haired boy as he swung an arm at Faust, who dodged it easily.
"Shut it, it's not that surprising."
"Anyway, so you two want to challenge the Theatre, yes?" Nadia and Musa nod. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Faust. Although, you might've seen me on TV."
"Yeah! Your battles are pretty cool!" Nadia exclaimed. "How do you win all of them, anyway?"
"Using technology, of course!" Faust smiles. "If you do end up challenging the Theatre, you better prepare for me."
"So, you really are..." Lucy's eyes widened.
"Yep, she's the Sepharite City Battle Star, and a pain in the ass." Zinx said.
"Shush, you child."
"I'm 13–"
"Still a child." Faust flicked Zinx's forehead, causing the boy to protest.
"I saw a TV special on you before!" Lucy exclaimed. "You survived an accident, and POLUT Corp. saved your life and gave you all kinds of cyber enhancements!"
"That's right. I just finished getting them updated actually. POLUT Corp. is kind enough to recalibrate and tune my gear every week, making sure I'm always in top shape for my battles."
"And those things will trip you up, because it did with me and I'm still not over it." Zinx seethed at the Battle Star, who just chuckled at his suffering.
"Thanks to Faust, we're able to spread awareness of our life-changing technology." A new voice cuts through the air, alerting everybody.
It was a man with slightly unkempt dark green hair and purple eyes wearing an odd futuristic monocle and a suit. His tie held a small gear-shaped pin, as well as his belt. Glowing blue wires protruded out of his monocle and the belt. The guide looked surprised at the newcomer.
"Oh, Dr. Vanta...I wasn't expecting to see you come in today. I would've had a coffee prepared for you if I knew."
That's Dr. Vanta?
