It was late afternoon, the sun was starting to set and rain was falling from the grey sky as the group made their way out to the green. They were led by their Number One, in front of him he held the ashes of Sir Reginald Hargreeves. Their father always had to come first.

"Did something happen?" The group looked at their mother figure, Grace, as she looked around with a blank smile.

Allison put her hand on the woman's arm, calling her attention, "Dad died, remember?" She stated, looking into Grace's eyes as the memory returned to her.

"Oh, yes. Of course."

"Is mom okay?" Allison muttered, turning to Diego as they all knew he was the closest to her.

"She's fine. Just needs to rest, you know. Recharge." Allison nodded slowly, a bit skeptical of his statement, but now was not the time to discuss that.

The group made a half circle around their leader as he brandished the urn, tipping it upside down to release a pitiful pile of grey onto the muddied ground.

"Probably would have been better with some wind..." he muttered, looking down at the mound he had made.

"If anyone wishes to say anything, now is the time." Pogo looked out to the children, each avoiding his eyes. They all knew what they thought of him.

The chimp cleared his throat, leaning forward on his cane and looking longingly at the sad pile of ash being attacked by the falling rain. "Very well. In all regards, Sir Reginald Hargreeves made me what I am today, and for that alone I shall forever be in his debt. He was my master, and my friend, and I shall miss him very much."

The sadness laced in his words seemed to resonate in some way with everyone there. "He leaves behind a complicated legacy-"

"He was a monster." Leta's heart leapt into her throat as Diego's voice came out harsh and clear.

"Diego.." she muttered, looking at him with pleading eyes. This was not the time.

Klaus let out a dry laugh.

"He was a bad person and an even worse father. The world is better off without him in it."

"Diego." Allison's warning came next.

"No, my name is number two. You know why? Cause our father couldn't be bothered to give us actual names. Even those of us who came with one." He gestured over at Leta. She felt her face get hot as she gripped onto the handle of the umbrella. "He had to get Mom to do it."

Once she heard her name said Grace perked up, looking at her children. "Would anyone like something to eat?" She asked in a sweet voice. Vanya gently grabbed her arm and told her no.

"Look, you can all pay your respects. But at least be honest about the man he really was." Diego turned his back to Luther, addressing everyone else in the group.

"You should stop talking now." Luther threatened. The muscles visibly tightened in his arms as he tried to restrain himself.

Diego let out a bitter laugh. "Of all people, Number One, you should be on my side."

Luther clenched his jaw, "I'm warning you.." Leta began to move forward, Five extending his arm and shaking his head no. She sighed, biting down on her lip till she tasted a bit of copper blood.

"He had to ship you a million miles away. That's how much he couldn't bare the sight of you!" Diego had raised his voice to a shout, now mear inches from Luther as his pulse began to race.

Without a moment to lose, the two men began swinging at one another. Diego ducked a couple of hits and landed a few on Luther as Klaus began to bounce up and down in excitement. "Hit him! Hit him!!" Klaus called.

Leta made her way from behind Five to Klaus where she promptly hit him upside the head.

She glanced over at Five just in time to see him disappear, Pogo walking into the house as well.

It suddenly caught her eye that they were moving closer and closer to Ben's statue. Now with no one sensible to stop her, she raced over and stood in front of the statue in a protective stance.

"Come on big boy." Diego motioned for him to come closer, Luther throwing wild punches at him.

"Stop it guys!" She shouted, now directly in front of them.

It was a split second that it took for her to realize she had made a mistake as Luther's hand came flying towards her.

"Shit!" She shrieked, shrinking into herself to avoid the blow. But as she ducked, his hand came into contact with the marble, sending Ben's effigy down to the ground.

Leta let out a gasp as she watched his head break off.

"And there goes Ben's statue." Allison muttered, not much else to say.

Luther sent Diego flying backwards as he reached for a knife. Vanya covered her mouth as Leta moved forward, taking a stance between the two.

"Stop this Diego. NOW." she looked the man dead in the eyes as she stood there, Luther huffing behind her.

He slid the blade back into its pouch, locking eyes with Luther before retreating back inside the building. Leta let out a terrified sigh, walking over to Klaus and smacking her forehead into his shoulder. He reached up and ran his fingers through her hair a few times.

By then everyone had returned inside but the two of them. "You suck you know." She muttered to him as they stood together under his clear and pink plastic umbrella.

"Hey, I know entertainment when I see it." She shoved him a bit, turning around to look at Ben's broken statue.

"Those testosterone junkies really did a number this time, didn't they." She said it more to herself then him as he was more interested with puffing away on his joint.

Leta watched out of the corner of her eye as Klaus walked over to Reginald's pile of ash and bent down beside it.

"Isn't this great, the whole gang back together. I bet you're happy now." And with that he plucked his burning stick of addiction into the dust, leaving it to fizzle out.

Klaus turned away, giving Leta a nod before heading inside.

She had no umbrella, having lost it in the frey, but she stood there anyway, looking at the destruction. All for such a small man. So much hurt for one man's ego. Something that no longer existed.

She sat in the rain and looked at the pile. It did nothing, but she watched. Her hands shakily raised to her head, slinging off the muffs that covered her ears. She flinched as the noises began to come. They were loud and incomprehensible. But she listened none the less.

She sat and waited, looking for the mind she had seen only once before.

There had to be something else.

That man couldn't just be gone. After all he'd put them though, all he had done and he just died peacefully in his sleep? Water ran down her face and she could no longer tell if it was from tears or the rain.

She clutched the sides of her head in agony.

This couldn't be it.
