"How come you never told me you could go into dreams?" she asked, nearly incredulous. Leta shrugged, sticking her hand out the window.
"Probably because I didn't know how I could do that. Apparently there's a lot of stuff I've never tried. Dad didn't-I mean-" she pulled a hand up to her lips, a bit embarrassed. Allison placed her own on Leta's elbow, pulling her arm back down to her side.
"He's your Dad too." She whispered, running a finger through her hair.
Leta sighed. "You know, for how long I have known you guys, for how long I've looked at myself and thought that I was better off alone. I guess it's time I accepted the truth." She grabbed Allison's hand and smiled. "You are my family." the sisters smiled at each other, the boy getting back into the vehicle and glancing backward.
"Glad to see you two where I left you." Five muttered, putting down the viser to look at himself in the small mirror.
Leta rolled her eyes, Allison taking this chance to get out of the car. She raised an eyebrow at her, the other woman beginning to walk down the sidewalk towards a pay phone. Leta shrugged, popping open the door and following her.
"Why do I bother." He muttered, following the two reluctantly.
Allison rummaged around in her pocket for some loose change, pulling some out and inserting it in the machine.
"Who are you calling?" Leta asked, looking over her shoulder and watching her dial the number.
"Vanya. I want to explain what happened." Leta nodded, biting her cheek. As the phone was ringing she looked at her, "I meant to ask, how come you never saw him in person?" Allison questioned.
Leta sighed, leaning into the phone pole next to her. "He was a dangerous criminal. They thought it would be safer to work with him over the phone, you know, incase he had the urge to murder me."
Allison tilted up her eyebrow, nodding at her.
Five reached up and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned to him, following the boy away from Allison as she started to leave her message.
"Yeah, what's wrong?" Five crossed his arms, looking at her like she just asked him the color of the sky. "Right, apocalypse. Let me rephrase, what do you want?"
"I have some questions about Harold." He said, shifting from foot to foot.
"It seems like everyone has questions. Look, the only thing I know is his diagnosis. He had an abusive father who suppressed him mentally, he put all of his attention into some sort of fantasy he never would tell me about, then after getting denied by his heroes... he up and killed his dad. That's all I've got. Sorry." Five shoved his hands down into his pockets.
"Are you sure that's all you know?" He questioned, chewing the inside of his cheek.
"No. I'm keeping stuff from you about the guy who is going to cause the DAMNED APOCALYPSE. Yeah, that sounds like something I would do." He raised his hands up in defense.
"Okay, I've got it." Leta turned back, seeing Diego triumphantly returning from the police department. "The file on Harold Jenkins."
Allison approached the group, arms crossed over her chest. "Let me see?"
Leta grabbed the file and opened it up, getting her first look at the man she had been talking to for years. But even though she had never seen the man before his face seemed familiar.
Allison let out a gasp, pulling her hand up to her lips. "Oh my god." Leta grabbed her shoulder, pulling her sister over to her, looking her in the eye.
