Hello Again

Chapter 5

Jake's POV, Present time:

My muscles were sore. I gasped loudly as I woke up. I opened up my eyes hardly, lights shined into my sights.
"Ugh..." I moaned slightly.
I sat up and looked around. Zander was sleeping next to me, I tried to remember what happened last night. I was exhausted, I didn't even think of why Zander was in my bed. My mind was emptied, I jumped off the bed and exited out my room.
When I exited out of the room, I scented something delicious. The living room smelled like chocolate mint cookies. I couldn't help but smile narrowly, "Jake?"
I turned around toward the voice, there was it. Hailey was entering the apartment with a Starbucks coffee in her hands. She took off her shoe and walked toward me.
"Are you ready?" She inquired as she sat on the couch.
I looked at her confused, "Ready for what?" I asked.
"Your doctor appointment stupid," Hailey answered with a smile. "Your father sent us the information."
"What?" I said sheepishly. "My father what-"
"Just go get change," Hailey spoke up. "You don't want to be late for your doctor's appointment."
I was too weak to complain about it. I entered back into my room to change. Now I think of it, do I still trust them?

Hailey POV:

I was sitting on the couch with my Starbucks coffee. I took a sip as I waited for Jake to return. Today was colder than usual, global warming has been hitting us harder than usual.
Just as I tried to relax, I heard Zander's screams. "JAKE WHY IS YOUR-"
"ZANDER!" I heard Jake's screech.
I gazed at the bedroom entrance as Zander rushed out of the room. His face was blood red.
I couldn't help but snicker. Zander stared at me, "H-HAILEY!" He shrieked annoyed.
I tried to calm myself down, but I couldn't help it. "Did you get a good view?" I inquired with a smirk.
Zander snorted loudly and stomped into the bathroom. He slammed the door behind him. I took some deep breaths, trying to stop myself from laughing.

Jake's POV:

Oh. My. God. I'm so ashamed right now! Zander just saw me... UGH! I can't believe it.
I put on a fresh shirt and then my dark blue sweater. I snatched the brush that was located next to me on the table. My face was extremely red, I held onto my breaths as I finally was ready.
"If I pretend nothing happened. Hopefully, Hailey wouldn't ask." I advised myself.
"SO? What happened?" Hailey inquired innocently as I sat next to her. "Come on, don't be shy. Tell me."
I looked at her sickened. She blinked at me innocently, I positioned my sweater over my head. I was humiliated.
"I forgot Zander was still in the room." I began. "So when I started changing. He woke up."
Hailey burst into laughter. She sounded like she was dying. "Oh my gosh," Hailey said as she stopped laughing. "This is priceless."
My eyes softened as she wiped tears of joy away. "Come on." I stood up from the couch, trying to switch the topic. "Aren't you bringing me to the doctor's appointment?"
Hailey chuckled. "Yes, I am. Since you're hopeless in directions."
I couldn't help but blush slightly. I forgot how adorable Hailey could be. I bit my lips.
I watched Hailey as she put on her shoes, I still wanted to ask her some more questions. But I decided to ask later, "Princess Hailey." I said in a flirting tone. "Are you here to rescue me?"
Hailey smiled as she stood up, "Prince Jake." Hailey started to go along with it. "I'm rather kidnapping you right now."
Just before I could say anything, I tripped onto something. I fell face front towards Hailey. "Watch out-"
POOF!
"You alright Jake?" Hailey asked.
I opened my eyes and weirdly Hailey was on top of me. "How did you-"
"Writing logic, I don't know."
"What?" I responded confused.
"Nevermind, come on, we're going to be late."
Hailey gave me a hand and helped me up. I put on my shoes and headed out with Hailey. I still wonder til now, how did Hailey get on top of me
