"So do I get any details about where ya'll got off to?" I ask when a familiar voice comes out behind us
"Hey fucker" Evelyn smiles at us
Turning around there she stood duffle bag over her shoulder, hair up in a bun, she looked tired but healthy like she actually trying this time.
"This is spooky we were just talking about you" Lola says when she picked her jaw up off the floor
"What are you doing here?" I say after my brain catches up
"Mom and dad weren't home, Emrys well Emry and I figured you we're still kicking around this joint so I thought I'd stop by to say hi" She comes over pulling me into a hug
"I'm having a hard time believing your not here for money and a place to stay" My voice is weak as I pull away, our relationship has been on the rocks for awhile now
"C'mon I'm really trying this time I need a fresh start and you know staying with mom and dad never does any good" She wasn't lying it seemed like every time she went to live with them again she ended up relapsing
"You sure it's a good idea to be hanging around here? We're surrounded by chaous all the time" I was hesitant
"It's just until I can get a job and a place" She pleads
"Fine but if I catch you slipping in any way your done" I say looking over my shoulder the guys they all looked confused
Turning around I introduced her to the boys and kindly asked Juice if it was ok if she stayed in his room here for awhile and Juice being the kind hearted person he is agreed. After the introductions I brought her to Juices room before showing her a tour of the place. Other then pointing out a few things we don't talk to much there's not much I have to say to her, or want to say to her.
"Look I know I have fucked up in the past but I really do want to try this time" She says as we walked back to the room
"I know it's just with everything going on I just can't handle you relapsing or worse dying" She gives me a look a sad look
"I know I know" She looks down at her hands
With that I let her settle in Juice was waiting for me by the couches we went to the apartment as we drove I let my mind wonder.
As kids Evelyn, Emry and I argued until we our faces turned blue but over the years with parents being the way they are it caused us to rely on each other. We grew up faster then normal kids our age we had to take care of each other when our parents weren't home. At the end of the day familly meant everything and we needed to protect each other luckily Emry got out when she did and she didn't end up like us.
With SAMCRO I learned the true meaning of family they took me in when I needed it most, loved me when I felt like I couldn't or didn't deserve it. They protect me, accept me, teach me things, feed me, helped with homework even though sometimes they couldn't understand it.What I learned from them was how to love a group of people so much it hurts sometimes and to let them love me in return. To protect myself stand up for myself and not let anybody take advantage of me, that I am worth more then I think I am. These men are more of a family then my own family has ever been , I've learned to except all there flaws like they have mine.
And thats why I feel that I need to help Evelyn out because after everything with Abel and Wendy I knew that things could get better with a little help from the right people.
