Muriel is an alien from a species that values culture over technology. The species overall is rough and considered war-like. Sorta xenophobic vibes sadly.

Work: Muriel is a businessman valued highly for his trade deals- specifically because he frequently goes on delegate missions to help with trade. Because of his culture, he's considered to be a noble of sorts.

Personality: He's a cocky man who acts like he own the place, but is willing to be on the same standing as another if he respects them. He loves gifting people things as long as they're worth it. That being said, he tends to stay away from any deep and long term relationships.
He's highly protective of others.
He holds a lot of honor and takes pride in how freely he speaks. He can hold conversations well because of that- if he wants to.
He tends to be looking for fights or to incite people at times, something that isn't unusual for his species.
As prideful as he is, he's willing to put honor aside for the greater good of his people. He works with other species by choice to try and help.

Likes: his work, traveling, flying, gold, flowy fabrics, and fighting.

Dislikes: when others think they're above him, ripping his clothes, being called cute, and heavy meat based food.

CULTURE HIGHLIGHTS:
-men and women dress the same
-their home is on a series of floating islands with rich ore deposits within it and bellow it. They consider gold and other metals a staple for their culture. This can be seen in their clothing.
-their islands have a harsher environment then on land, both with terrifying flying creatures but also the lack of crops, the wind, and cold temperatures.
-they themselves produce a lot of heat. They need to eat a lot since they use up a lot of energy.
-long flowy stuff is a no go. That includes dresses and skirts!
-nobles wear a lot of jewelry and fabrics to represent their ability. Many layers/hard to remove layers tend to depict wealth and restrictive jewelry depict how they don't need to fight. Some even wear handcuffs of sorts.
-the species are beings of energy, origins coming from the star people. They don't hold great power like their (extremely distant) ancestors, but can still wield energy- light and electricity mostly.
-their wings are less wings are act more as a way to release access energy and heat, similar to rabbits. It's a horrible offense to rip someone's, and earns outsiders capital punishment.
-meat is a no go. They rely on seeds, greenery, and a specific fruit popular on their homeland that holds a lot of protein. They don't have sharp teeth because of their diets lol.
-they are highly combative overall and take pride in their culture.
-outside of councils and community situations, personal disagreements are typically dealt with through sparring.
-sparring is a special but extremely traditional aspect of romance. While it's growing out of fashion, a way to win the heart of someone is to challenge them to a sparring match. To win means you may ask for their hand. Many tend to purposefully lose. It's considered inappropriate to ask for such a type of spar if you hold a higher position then the other, or if you're considered stronger.
-multiple partners is considered fine but monogamy is the general practice for relationships.
-they entered galactic space through imported technology. The species has been taking strides to be more welcoming through diplomatic missions and exports/imports. Nonetheless it is rare to see one, and many are told to tread lightly around them. (On the flip side, they're often told not to cause trouble and to understand cultural differences)
-while they hold little power in the larger galactic community, they're known for their mineral exports and craftsmanship.
