Mel's POV

I was on my way to our physios. Hopefully now I could finally start ‚real' rehab...

But I hadn't had crutches for several days and was able to walk painlessly. That was different five weeks ago...

I knocked on the door and waited briefly until I was called in. I entered the room and closed the door behind me. Our physio smiled friendly and I sat down on the examination table. He came to me and carefully removed the splint.

"Are you in pain?", he asked and I shook my head.

"That's better," he said and I nodded in relief.

Then I stood up with his help and he let go of my hands again.

"Can you put some weight on the ankle?", he asked me and I nodded slightly. Then I put more weight on the injured foot and smiled slightly.

"It is still uncomfortable, but it doesn't hurt anymore", I explained and he smiled as well.

„Great"

The physio showed me some exercises that I should do daily at home and I was relieved to find that the pain was almost completely gone. He just showed me the last exercise for which I had to lie on my back. My leg was up and he sat on his chair near my ankle.

"You're doing well," he praised me and I smiled slightly.

"Can I actually rely on you to do the exercises once a day until our next session?", he asked and I nodded immediately. When it came to something like that I was quite reliable.

"That's good...otherwise we'd have to find someone to remind you...", he started and I saw him smiling. Okay, I guess he got the news, too. Great...

"Well, I can think of someone, can't you?", he grinned and I rolled my eyes.

"Have the pictures come up to you?" I asked and he nodded immediately.

"Everyone who works here knows the pictures,' he explained to me and I sighed softly.

"Oh, okay," was all I said, but that was apparently not enough.

"How long has it been going on?", he wanted to know with interest and carefully traced my ankle.

"Officially, since October."

"And you've been able to keep it a secret for so long?!", he asked in surprise and I smiled slightly.

"Yes... my injury had its advantages..."

20 minutes later I was just leaving the building when my phone vibrated. Smiling, I picked it up.

"Hey...what's up?"

"Do I need a reason to call you?" Jill asked and I laughed softly.

"No. But there probably is anyway."

"You got that right," she laughed and I shook my head laughing.

"Will you tell me?!" I asked and Jill stopped laughing.

"Most of the team are meeting at Daan and Beth's and I've been asked to ask you to come. I'd pick you up."

I smiled slightly.

"I'd love to."

"Great. Can you stay at the training ground? Then I'll pick you up from the parking lot in ten minutes," she suggested, and I heard her put on her shoes already.
