Jade walked into the coffee shop, laughing and smiling with a guy Beck had never seen before.

They both sat in a booth on the other side of the shop, and Beck's fingers tightened around his coffee cup.

He watched as her eyes lit up, meaning she was going to start talking about something she was passionate about. The guy smiled at her, obviously liking the raven haired beauty.

Beck hated that guy.

He didn't care if he never met him- he knew he hated him just by looking at him.

The guy had shaggy blonde hair, green eyes, and pale skin. Not as pale as Jade, but close.

Beck didn't even notice when liquid began trailing down his fingers, due to squeezing the coffee cup too tight.

Jade was laughing at whatever the guy was saying, and Beck's blooded boiled in anger.

She didn't even spare Beck a glance- even though he knew she had saw him.

The tanned-skin Canadian let out a frustrated sigh, just then noticing that his hand was covered in coffee. He grabbed a napkin and cleaned himself up, all while still staring at Jade.

-

"I think that guy over there has a crush on you," the guy, Ashton, raised an eyebrow as he cocked his head to Beck.

Jade had known Beck was staring at her the entire time- that was what she wanted.

She wanted him to feel jealous, to feel remorseful. Though it could all be an act as well, since that's what their entire relationship had been.

So she shrugged and leaned back into the booth. "Sucks for him."

"He's hot," Ashton chuckled. "If you don't want him I'd gladly take him."

Oh yeah, did she mention Ashton was gay?

Jade rolled her eyes. "I don't think you'd want him if you figured out how much of a douche he is."

Ashton heaved a long sigh. "It's always the hot guys that are douchebags."

Jade laughed softly, nodding in agreement.

"Do you want me to do something about him?" Ashton then asked her.

"Just wait," she replied, holding up a finger. "He'll be over here in three, two, one- "

"Hi."

Jade looked up at Beck with raised eyebrows. "Bye."

Ashton realized the tension between the two and he stayed quiet, observing the scene before him.

"What are you guys up to?" Beck questioned, stuffing his hands into his pockets and shrugging.

"None of your business."

Beck sighed heavily. "Jade, if this is your way of making me jealous- "

"Wait, what?" Jade scoffed, glaring up at him. "You have the audacity to come over here, without an invitation, and ask if I'm trying to make you jealous? Not everything is about you, Beck!"

"I'm not saying everything is about me- "

"Well then what are you saying, huh?" She questioned. "Ashton is my friend. Can I not hang out with friends, Beck? Do you own me now? Because newsflash- you don't! We broke up, Beck! Get that through your head!"

"He's obviously flirting with you!" Beck exclaimed, exasperated as he ran a hand through his hair.

"He's gay, Beck!"

Beck froze. "What?"

"I'm gay," Ashton then piped up, giving him a sarcastic smile.

"Oh," Beck muttered.

"Yeah," Jade mumbled, rolling her eyes. "Oh."

"Sorry," Beck said quietly, averting his gaze to his feet.

"I think you should leave," the goth declared, her chest clenching as she stared at her coffee cup.

Beck nodded, turning around and leaving the coffee shop without another word.
