Chapter 15

"NO WAIT WHAT" I yelled, confused

She gave Darryl a quick kiss on the cheek.

Darryl looked broken inside, but he manage to hold himself together.

"Sorry Zak, I don't love you anymore" Darryl sighed and walked slowly towards me with the knife in his hand

"Yes you do, stop playing around, I love you, you love me, that's just how it is"

"Cassandra is so much bet-" He said but I cut him off with a kiss.

He tried to hide it, but he kissed me back.

He gave me a loving smile what I didn't really understand.

He walked closer to me.

Closer.

And closer.

He raised the sharp object.

Then he turned around and stabbed Cassandra's hand with the weapon.

"FISH IN A BUCKET!" I yelled happily.

A group of armed men broke in and pointed their guns at Cassandra.

Her eyes widened in horror as she realized she got betrayed.

They grabbed her and put her into a police car.

She was in shock, just like me and Darryl.

As they dragged the blonde girl outside, Darryl fell onto the floor.

He started crying on the dark grey floor.

I sat down next to him and hugged him tight.

"I'm really proud of you. You are a really brave man. I'm so happy that I have a partner like you. You're so caring, loving, smart and beautiful.
No matter what happens to us, we will always love each other.
Thank you so much for saving my life"
I whispered in his ear, then gave him a kiss.

It's been exactly one week since Cassandra tried to kill me/us.
A few day ago, we've been to court with Darryl to help in Cassandra's case. But not for Cassandra though.

We told everything to the judge that Cassandra did. We also showed the proofs and the judge fortunately sentenced Cassandra to 'life in prison' for abuse, theatrening and attempting murder.

After all that, we decided that we will move into a new house together, because we just couldn't look at the house the same way, knowing that a few days ago, a psychopath lived here.

A lot of things happened this week, so today, me and Darryl decided that we will go on a first date.
We already knew that we were made for each other, but first date is first date.

Darryl didn't tell me where we are going, because he said It's a surprise. He only said that I need to wear rather comfortable than good looking clothes.

So I put on my favourite light blue hoodie.
I looked at myself in the mirror.
I wad proud of myself.
I was proud that I found Darryl.
He was perfect.
Sometimes I just feel like I don't deserve him.

"Can I open my eyes now?" I asked excitedly

"Wait muffin, just let me help you get out of the car"

He helped me get out of the car.
I was really excited.
I love surprises

"Ok Zak, you can open your eyes now" The brown haired man said

I opened my eyes and noticed that we're in a restaurant.

"Oh a restaurant! Cool" I said, but I felt a little bit of disappointment inside.

"Not just any restaurant Zak. Me and my parents used to come here when I was younger. The food is amazing and the employees are really kind" He said and grabbed my hand

"OH MY GOODNESS DARRYL ARE YOU GONNA-"

"Yes. Zak, would you be my boyfriend?"

I felt nothing but love.

"YESYESYES OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU SO MUCH"

"I love you too" he said as he kissed my forehead.

We almost ate the dinner on our dates, while talking about our relationship, when Darryl said.

"I have one more surprise for you little muffin"

"WHAT IS IT?" I shouted excitedly, not caring about half of the people in thr restaurant staring at me.

"Ssh, be quiet muffin!
Also, It wouldn't be a surprise if I'd tell you, so come on, finish the dinner because I planned the surprise for today." He said, giving me a quick hug.

I quickly finished eating my food and we both sat in the car.
Darryl drove us and he asked me to cover my eyes, because It's a surprise.

I tried to convince him several times, but he doesn't want to tell me.

We sat in the car for abour 15 minutes, after the car slowed down and stopped.

I didn't know where we were.
Everything was so quiet.

Darryl helped me get out of the car.
We walked about 2 minutes.
Me blindfolded and Darryl who helped me get to that 'surprise location'.

I was really really excited
Even though I didn't know where we were, but it felt good to escape from the harsh reality sometimes.

"Just a few more steps, a few more aaaaand okay you can stop here" I heard my boyfriend saying

"Can I open my eyes?" I asked

"Wait" he said

He quickly grabbed my hands and started holding them as he said

"Ok muffin, you can open your eyes now"

I opened my eyes and saw something so beautiful.
We were on our hill.
It was night time so the stars were visible.
They shined brightly and they were beautiful.

Just like Darryl's eyes.
He absolutely loved seeing me happy, It also made him happy.

"Wow... Darryl... that's beautiful" I wiped the stray teadrops off of my eyes as I looked at Darryl

"I love you so much, thank you for bringing me here.
You always make me so happy"

He smiled

"Do you want to lay down on the ground and watch the stars together?" Darryl asked

"Nothing would make me happier Darryl. I love you"

We both layed down on the ground.

"Look Darryl, that looks like a dog!" I said as I pretended to connect dots with my fingers

"Wow, it really does" He replied, coming closer and kissing my forehead.

I kissed him and put my head on his chest.
He wrapped his arms around my waist.

Him and I forever
