Sangar's Pov
So, with the four of us in the principal's office and Ram and Kurt at the nurse–what kind of names even are those? I'd only name my kid Kurt if he were my second-born child whom I was going to give away to the demons for a demon headband–oh, that was off topic.
We were in the principal's office, and the principal dude was shooting his mouth off like "why did you do that, fighting isn't allowed, blah blah blah I'm only here because I couldn't get another job and I'm a numbskull who's never seen a good fight in my life," and other stuff like that.
"Well, Ram was the one who started it!" I complained. "At least, I think that one's him. I don't even know them, and haven't seen them before this because someone–" I turned to look at Y/N, "was crowding the bathroom door and I couldn't get a good look..." I trailed off when I realized how off-topic I was getting. I tend to do that a lot. Y/N was oddly silent.
"We were talking and Ram took offense to some of what we were saying," Taylor said. "So he tried to punch JD, and Kurt stepped in, and Y/N joined to help JD, and nobody messes with Y/N without messing with me, so I punched Ram, and then Sangar helped a bit too. Just a typical fight, nothing overwhelming."
"Violence is not permitted on these school grounds," the principal said. Translation: "I'm a dipsh** and so is the school board."
"I'm going to have to suspend you four," he continued, "For a week, at least."
"But school!" I whimpered softly. Taylor looked at him.
"Actually, the typical punishment for fighting in a fight that you didn't start is at most 1-2 day suspension," she said smoothly. "And I have a feeling you might want to stick below that number. Unless you want me to tell your wife about how you hooked up with Mrs. Johnson in the science lab last Tuesday?"
"One day it is," the dipsh** dood said slowly. Taylor smirked.
"For all of us, of course?" she said. "Including JD?"
"Yes," he replied, not taking his eyes off her.
"Perfect," Taylor said, standing up from her chair. "Is there anything else you wanted to discuss, Mr. Bates?"
"You may leave," dippity dipsh** replied, ignoring her question.
We all followed her out. Once the door was closed I went, "Wow, Taylor, you sure know your stuff."
"Hm," Taylor said, looking satisfied. "A lot of people don't realize that being a know-it-all doesn't restrict itself to just facts. A lot of people also don't know that Heather M. hooked up with Kurt, but c'est la vie." Y/N was still silent.
"Y/N, go find JD already," Taylor said, rolling her eyes. "He should still be in the nurses office. You can tell him about his one-day suspension."
"Did we have to get suspended at all?" I whined. Taylor looked at me.
"Would you like me to go back and tell him to make your suspension a week?" she said. "There's only so much I can blackmail out of him, 'kay?" Y/N walked in another direction to go to the nurse. I pouted.
"Everyone seems to know each other here," I said. "How am I gonna fit in?"
"You will," Taylor promised. "And not even close. I only know about half the kids in our grade, and most of them only by reputation. Just find a clique to join, and you'll be fine."
"But it seems like all the cliques are bad, according to you guys," I replied. "And it's only my first day and I got suspended! Nobody's going to want to hang out with me now."
"Technically, Y/N and I are a clique of two," Taylor pointed out. "You're more than welcome to chill with us. We won't mind."
